I have withdrawn my seat from Clat 2019. Now if there is any seat vacant then can I apply for the same?

Sandipan_1560141883 Student Expert 2nd Jul, 2019

Dear Aspirant,

Congratulations for cracking the CLAT examination.

You mentioned that you withdraw your seat from CLAT 2019 and If there will be any vacant seat available then can you apply for the seat.

It was your question.

Yeah, you can apply for the vacant seat.

But you have to wait for the last round.

After completion of last round, Colleges will upload the number of vacanct seats in their own websites. Then you have to apply. It is like a spot round.

Go to the below mentioned link for more details:

Best of luck.

Hi, My Son is studying 10th grade, IGCSE syllabus and an average scorer. Please suggest LSAT or CLAT training is suitable for him ?

arindam singh 1st Jul, 2019
Hi Mohan,
Both the entrance exams have their own importance i.e CLAT is an entrance test for National Law Universities in INDIA only whereas LSAT is the qualifying exam for most of the other law universities. Both entrance exams have their own importance hence the final decision rests upon you that wether your child should prepare for LSAT or CLAT or both. Though CLAT is considered to be tougher than LSAT but grants admission in the top law schools of INDIA whereas LSAT is for all other government universities and is easier than CLAT

When will final admission process for clat 2019 start?

sakshamselwal2000_9591011 Student Expert 1st Jul, 2019

Hello Cherry,

The admission process or admission dates are not fixed for CLAT colleges. You will be given a time range in which you have to go to the college for admission after you get the seat allotted from the counseling of cutoff list. The cutoff lists have already started to roll out. Keep an eye for your rank and the dates in which you have to go to college.

All The Best.

Should i take a drop year for CLAT?

mahimadogra_6929406 Student Expert 1st Jul, 2019
Hey Anusha.
It's good to know that now you're determined to prepare well for CLAT. But a better option than taking a Gap year is to join a college and simultaneously prepare for CLAT. There are many people who join a college, even a law college or maybe pursue a BA or any other graduation course and then prepare for CLAT. Because in case things are not as favourable the next year then they do have a back up option and 1 year also is saved. Now this also depends on what other options you have. If You are getting admission in any decent law college or any good college for BA or any such graduation degree you can go for that and prepare for CLAT simultaneously. There are many people who've cleared CLAT in the second attempt after joining a middle NLU/ other decent law college and preparing. So if you have a good backup option like this only then, you should go for preparing simultaneously. If you don't then you can consider a drop.

Saloni 1st Jul, 2019

hi manmeet ,

Minimum Eligibility Criteria for UG

Candidates can apply for admission in UG courses if they have cleared their 10+2 or equivalent exam with at least 45% aggregate marks whereas SC/ST candidates meet the eligibility criteria if they have secured minimum 40% marks.

Aspirants can secure admission at Gujarat National Law University on the basis of their rank in Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) . After CLAT exam, candidates need to appear for counselling round and opt to secure admission in UG and PG law courses offered at GNLU.

hope it helps!

Sir I want to Study Clat and Cat Both How I study To clear The Cat and Clat Entrance Exam PLEASE Help me

Sampriti Gupta Student Expert 30th Jun, 2019

CAT and CLAT are completely different. For appearing in CLAT which is a law entrance exam you'll have to have completed 10+2 but for CAT which is a management entrance exam you'll have to be a graduate. The syllabus for these two exams are also very different, only a few things you can get in common. But you'll have to choose either of them in order to proceed.

Regarding preparation you can follow different books of quantitative ability and Logical Reasoning, English grammar and law for CLAT. And for CAT just practice the previous year questions, some quantitative ability concepts and read editorials.

And try to get test series for both the exams.

All the best
