Basically, in engineering the odd semester starts from july or August, and ends in December meaning the odd semester exam ends in December.
And in case of even semester, the classes start from mid of January and even semester

                   For general category it may be difficult to secure a seat in Nit or IIIT  with this percentile, but for  other categories there may be chances of getting into NIT  IIIT.
