Delhi University and Banaras Hindu University both are consider 1st English as teaching. But both colleges approved both languages hindi and english.
Like when they are discussing about any thing in class then prefer hindi usually.

If you want to be at ease then you can choose economics as your GE as it is not a tough subject and you can score high marks if you study properly.
So, yes Eco. is a scoring subject. But, all that matter is your interest in the subject
