Geo informatics
Hello aspirant,
Congratulations on qualifying AP EAMCET and getting a good rank.
Andhra University is one of the oldest and best universities for engineering. With your rank 1298 you can get easily into geoinformatics (GIN) and any other branch in Andhra University. The last years cutoff for geoinformatics is as following.
Course. OC. SC. ST. BCA. BCB. BCC. BCD. BCE. OC EWS
Boys
GIN. 18853. 90052. 103544. 28197. 53353. 18853. 26491. 52761. 66763

Coming to branch, all branches are good in engineering and each branch has its own importance and requirement of work in the world. It all depends on your interest. Be it any branch you have to study well and be a skilled person in that field. in the coming days work opportunities will be available only for the skilled workers. Geoinformatics is a good and very interesting branch of science. You can choose that if you are really interested in it. With your rank 1298 you can get any branch in a good college like AU. So please think carefully about it.
Hello
It's a tricky question. One is top most branch and another one is top most university in AP.first , i will talk about branches. I think everyone knows more about cse than geoinformatics. If you go through cse, you should get more placement opportunities than geoinformatics. Every branch has its own scope. But coming to colleges andhra university is one of the best university .infrastructure and placements are also very good compare to jntu kalikiri. But placements in jntu kalikiri is not bad. If your passion is to do geoinformatics, you can choose Andhra university for studying is best. If you wanna join in cse, you can choose another jntu college rather than kalikiri. Because it is newly established college . If you can study on your own and attending for the out campus interviews,. You can prefer cse at jntu kalikiri. I hope this information helps you.
All the best.
Hello. As per my research, civil branch is much better at jntu pulivendula. It has recorded the highest salary package of 7 lpa.
It has browsed all the internship opportunities along with placement ones. Jobs in hand and excels in acquiring practical knowledge.
Hope that helps!
Hey aspirant.
I hope you are doing well.
The Department of Geo-Engineering and Department of Geo-Engineering & Resource Development Technology Resource development technology is an interdisciplinary Department, having routs in the Department of Civil Engineering, as Engineering Geology Division and later as Geo-Engineering Research Laboratory. Best of Luck!
These courses are very interesting courses. But max people don't know about these courses because max students first preference is top branches only. If you studied in andhra university that degree definitely has a value and placements are also good. But top branches have more placements compare to these branches.
ALL THE BEST
Hello Aspirant,
At this rank you have very less chance to get JNTUK and AU. But Don't lose hope try it for Counselling. As per your category rank you have chances to get admission in JNTUK or AU. and No worries, there are some other colleges that you any get at this rank with CSE , ECE and EEE branch. Some colleges are:
Aditya College of Engineering and Technology
Adarsh College of Engineering.
BVC Engineering College.
GIET Engineering College.
And many more.
If you want to know more colleges that you may get at this rank you can use our college predictor tool:

I hope this will help you.
All the best for your bright future ahead.
Hey!
As per reviews, it is suggested to join manufacturing from the courses you suggested above. However, college has good placements for civil, Cse and ECE. But college has very less placement opportunities for geo informatics and industrial but has decent placements for manufacturing with average salary as 3 lakhs per annum.
Hope I answered your query
Thank you
Geo informatics course basically focuses on the information related to geology and most of the placements of this branch are done in Petroleum industry. Also this course does not have many opportunities for future. So it is advised to join ece in kumaraguru college as it a demanded course with a wide scope as well as college has good placement opportunities for same.
Hope it helped to clear your delimma
Hi Kalpana,
As per previous year cutoff, University Departments of Anna University, Chennai - CEG Campus, Chennai opening Mark's for geoinformatics is 187 and and closing marks is 185.25 in BC Category.
University Departments of Anna University, Chennai - CEG Campus, Chennai opening Mark's for geoinformatics is 192 and and closing marks is 187.5 in general Category.
So, you have chances that you will get seat if it's not full till last round. But every year Seats get full in 1st or 2nd round of counselling.

Hi aspirant,
Manufacturing engineering and Geoinformatics engineering both are two different fields of engineering and they differ greatly. Manufacturing engineering is the engineering which uses Physical and chemical application of science and technology to convert raw materials into finished product. Broadly It involves the production of materials and services.
On the other hand, Geoinformatics engineering is the engineering which develops and uses information science infrastructure to address the problems of geography, cartography, geosciences and related branches of science and engineering. It uses Science and Technology to collect and organise the data and then analyse it through computation and geo-visualization.
Both of them have scope. But if you wish to choose then I would recommend you to choose manufacturing unless you have serious interest in Geoinformatics engineering. The later is having limited scope but manufacturing engineering is broader.
Hope it helps you.
