General Nursing and midwifery (GNM) is a 3+1/2 year diploma course. The eligibility criteria to apply for this course is a 10+2 education from a recognised board with minimum 50% aggregate marks in the science stream.

GNM stands for general nursing and midwifery , in this we learn about general health care, nursing and midwifery , it is a diploma course of 3,5 year of duration , the basic eligibility criteria to get admission into this is candidate must have passed 10+2 with science stream

Hey!
GNM and ANM courses offer same opportunities and scope after completion. In ANM students are trained, made competent enough to treat old people and children. Whereas GNM includes nursing related courses.
However, in India GNM has more scope than ANM in terms of salary growth in workplace.
