Sir please tell the procedure to get admission in ipu b-tech?

Ketaki Dhotre Student Expert 22nd Jun, 2019

Dear  Ankit,

Earlier the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) used to organize a common entrance examination for B.Tech which is also known as IPU CET. According to the recent notification, admissions in B.TEch courses in the university will be done through jee main–I. After successfully passing the entrance examination the candidates will probably have to fill an application form admissions to various engineering colleges affiliated to the GGSIPU. GGSIPU provides admissions to 17 different programmes in 17 colleges affiliated to the university. You first check the eligibility and then fill the application form online after which you will fill the name of colleges and then you will be alloted a college.

Hope this helps! Feel free to ask further queries.

What would be expected marks required in CLAT to get into IPU main campus?

Vedant Vibhor 22nd Jun, 2019

Hi Lavanya,

Marks are not revealed but ranks are given in the entrance test. To get admission in main campus you need to have a rank below 1000-1200 if you’re a Delhiite and below 100–200 if you’re an outside Delhi applicant. (Approximately)

This is what the cut off usually is. Might or might not change this year. Good luck!

i got rank 1257 in ipu cet 115 for bsc hons. nursing, can i get admiss

Souradeep_1559130577 Student Expert 22nd Jun, 2019

Hello ,

So you have got 1257 rank in IPU CET for BSc Hons Nursing. Assuming you are from General Unreserved category and citizen of Delhi then considering previous year cut off, I am sorry to inform you but you may not be able to get admission as seats are very limited and competition is higher this year. However, do not lose hope. You can participate in counselling provided you have cleared all eligibility criteria. Some colleges which provide Bsc Hons Nursing are :

  • St. Stephens College of Nursing
  • College of Nursing, VMMC and Safdurjung Hospital
  • College of Nursing, Dr. Ram Mohan Lohia Hospital

Hope this answer helps.

I scored 126, with ranking 3563 in clat. Will i get any college of Ipu. Also, which colleges should i aim?

ruchi_1559283793 Student Expert 22nd Jun, 2019

hello radhika,

your admission in nlu will depend on the rank and also the category you belong to. if you are from reserved category then you can get nlu but if you belong to unreserved category then ipu will be good choice. for the ipu ranking, you will have to wait for the cut off announcement. however you can predict the same by visiting this page https://law.careers360.com/articles/ipucet-law-cutoff.

Hope this would help you.

I have done registration for IPU before NEET result. Should I register again ?

Animesh Vats Student Expert 22nd Jun, 2019

Hi Mansi,

See, if you have already registered on the official website before NEET then you do not have to register again.

As given in the Admission brochure 2019-20, Part A, the application started from 26th March for all the different courses of IPU. Same goes for MBBS and BDS as well.

If you registered that time for admission then now you only need to wait for the counselling process to start. When the process starts then you will be allocated seat if cleared the cut off.

For now no official notice have been posted on the website so as to when the counselling process will begin but still it can be expected to start very soon.

So, I would like to request you to wait and to check the website atleast once everyday to see if any notification is posted or not.

Meanwhile also complete the registration of MCC central counselling for AIQ seats because the last date is 24th June and complete the choice filling process as well, because the last date is same for that too.

I hope this information helps.

All the best!

I have registered for MBBS at IPU as last date was 21 june. choice filling and choice locking date is not notified on IPU website. Need help

deepanshi_1560771933 Student Expert 22nd Jun, 2019

All you were required to do is already done by you . Do not worry, furthermore proceedings would be notified to you shortly by the university. Sometimes the site is too busy or there are some issues present in the system that's why the site don't respond. It would be alright ina few days.
