As per Guidelines for Admission to various B.Tech. Programs at HBTU, Kanpur for session 2020-21 , the application process is not yet started.

# Admissions will be made on basis of merit of JEE (Main)-2020.

Detailed guidelines related to admission will be available on University website, Tentatively from the fourth week of September, 2020.

If you choose college for good campusing and placement HBTU Kanpur will be best, but UIET is not worst college. But if you choose college as per low fees. UIET will be good option.

With the percentile mentioned above, you rank must be in between 18000 to 18500. When talking of, HBIT there are chances for you to get into the IT branch of the particular college as the cut off is higher than your predicted rank which will let you get the admission easily. You are also eligible for the CS branch. But since the cut off is close to your predicted rank, it might get a  little difficult to acquire seat. You are still eligible in apply for both CS and IT branch though.

The last date to fill in application form for Harcourt Butler Technical University, Kanpur the date has been extended to 10 September.

After filling the application forms, you will need to make the payment of the arranged application fee out of the payment modes which take in Debit/credit cards, internet banking, online transfer or E-Challan.

As soon as the payment through E-Challan is settled out, a print of the challan is to be kept safe with you. It may be useful during the admission process they may ask you to show them for proof.

As you hadnt mentioned your category i m considering you as a general category student and according yo general category your jee rank should be under 63000 to get admission into harvout butler technical university . But still the ranks varies according to branch the lowest rank goes for food technology that is 63k .if you want to get into better branches then need to score about 100 to 120 score.

The eligibility criteria to get admission in HBTU, Kanpur in engineering course through JEE Main is that candidate must have passed 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry with 60% aggregate marks these subjects for SC/ST categories it is 55% aggregate marks. Candidates must have passed in these subjects without grace marks. Candidate must have studied minimum of 5 subjects including English, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. Check the eligibility criteria and if you fulfill all of these then you are eligible to get admission provided you must qualify in JEE Main.
