HBTU KANPUR IS NOW A DEEMED UNIVERSITY AND FROM 2018 THEY ARE TAKING ADMISSIONS ON THE BASIS OF ONLY JEE MAINS SCORE. AND CONDUCTNG THEIR OWN COUNCELLING.

Percentile is the relative grading. It segerates the candidates into group. So for eg if your percentile is 88 then it means your that score is better than 88% of candidates. So it is quite difficult tell you the percentile required to get into hbtu but last year the minimum rank with which round 1 of counseling started was 35417.

If we tweak the formula to compute rank.

(100-percentile)*869010/100

The percentile would be around 95.92

If the no. of students goes up to 1200000 for April session then just change 869010 to 1200000. Then the percentile would be 97.04

HBTI is one of the top colleges in Uttar Pradesh for pursuing higher technical education. 2-3 year back the admission were on the basis on UPTU(UPSEE) rankings, but now they accept admission only on the basis of JEE main ranking.

For your kind information since when HBTU became a university it doesn't take admission on the basis of AKTU score. AKTU was formally known as UPTU.

Now you can get admission into HBTU on the basis of JEE mains examination.

Since it is a very good University now so you have to score a good rank in JEE mains also . Something around 20k will help you.
