The cutof for various branches in HBTU is different. If you let me know the branch you prefer, I can tell you the cutoff for that branch. Now, for getting admission there, under OBC category, your rank should be above 80000, and you can get Plastic Technology, Leather Technology, Oil Technology etc.

The cut off rank also depends on category of the student. As per your marks your AIR would be around 1,40,000. If you are General category, then admission to Harcourt Butler Technological Institute, Kanpur is difficult. The cut off rank for CSE/IT is around 35,000-40,000. For the Mechanical branch the cutoff rank is around 40,000. And for other core branches, i.e. Civil/Electrical Engg. the cutoff rank could be 45,000-50,000. You can consider other esteem colleges for CSE, IT, Mec, Civil like: VIT, LPU, BITS, Assam Don Bosco University, Ahmedabad University,Jaypee University of Information Technology, PES University, Techno Global University, Xavier University, NIIT University, Sikkim Manipal University.
