Hey Sonu, congrats on getting 74% in your 12th! That's a solid score. So, you're wondering if you can get into Jain College for either a B.Sc. or B.A., right? Let's take a look.
Okay, so for the B.Sc. program, Jain University usually wants to see at least 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths in your 12th . With your 74%, you've already cleared that hurdle! But here's the thing: they also use the Jain Entrance Test (JET) . You'll need to register, study up, and hopefully do well on the written test, group discussion, and personal interview that make up JET. Now, for the B.A. program, it's generally a bit more straightforward. As long as you passed your 10+2 (which you definitely did!), you're usually good to go since they mostly look at your 12th-grade marks . And with your 74%, you're in a pretty good spot! Just a heads-up, though: some of the B.A. specializations might have extra requirements or even their own entrance exams. So, it's worth double-checking the specific requirements for the B.A. major you're interested in. Alright, so how do you actually apply?
Application Form: First off, grab the application form and fill it out super carefully. Make sure you don't miss anything!
Entrance Exam (B.Sc.): Since you're interested in the B.Sc., make sure you register for JET and start preparing. Get familiar with what's on the exam so you can nail it.
Document Submission: Get all your documents together – your 10th and 12th mark sheets, transfer certificate, character certificate, and anything else the college asks for. Once you've cleared the entrance exam (if it applies), you'll probably have to go through a group discussion and personal interview. They'll make their final decision based on how you do overall and your marks, of course. A few tips to keep in mind:
Apply Early: Don't wait until the last minute! Get your application in well before the deadline. Trust me, it'll save you a lot of stress.
Prepare: If you need to take JET, put in the time to study. The better you do, the better your chances.
Stay Updated: Keep checking the official Jain University website or give their admissions office a call. That way, you'll know about any changes to the process, important dates, and any tweaks to what they're looking for. Good luck!
If your mock test is not opening, first make sure you have the correct username and password and your internet connection is working properly .
Here are some more tips:
Make sure you are entering the correct username and password.
Make sure your internet connection is working properly.
Make sure you have the latest version of the website or app.
Make sure your browser or app's cache and cookies are empty.
It's important to understand that admission cut-off scores are not static. They fluctuate based on a complex interplay of factors. Here's a more detailed explanation:
Key Factors Influencing Cut-Off Scores:
* Government-mandated reservation policies allocate seats to specific categories (e.g., SC, ST, OBC, EWS). These categories often have lower cut-off scores than the general category to ensure equitable representation.
* Merit list tie breaking rules:
* When multiple students have the same score, institutions use tie breaking rules. These rules vary and could be the reason why a person was selected and another was not.
In essence:
Dear Aamir,
To correct name on your 12th marksheet, you have two options.
1. You may approach to Head Of Board issuing your 12th marksheet. Follow procedure as required. You may be required to provide supporting document which has your correct name such as leaving certificate, copy of birth certificate etc.
2. Through gazette for it you need a notarized affidavit with supporting document. After submitting document gazette office will verify it. Once approved, your name change will be published in gazette.
I suggest you to check if it can be done by option 1 if not then go for option 2.
I hope this answers your query.

Yes, you can change your stream from PCB to BA Political Science . Many universities allow stream changes for humanities courses like Political Science.
For CUET 2025, you should give the exam based on the subjects required for BA Political Science. Most universities prefer students to take the CUET exam in subjects related to humanities, like Political Science, General Test, or English.
You do not need to give the CUET in PCB subjects because you are not going for a science course. Instead, choose subjects that match Political Science.
Make sure to check the university’s eligibility criteria before applying.
Hope it helps !
