Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar
Dear Aspirant
First of all Congratulating you on your nice performance that you deserve both of the nice college and I would like to tell you that based on three choices if you were to take my opinion then I would suggest you to take admission in chemical engineering at iit Bombay because it is most prestigious college in the country unlike iit bhubaneswar. But if you are interested in metallurgy then iit Kharagpur is also a better place than iit bhubaneswar. So choose smartly considering my views.
Good luck for your future :)
Feel free to ask if you have any further queries.
Placements: Opportunities are wide, one can get a job opportunity in both core and non core companies and one can take a job which can give him satisfaction and salary, campus also encourage startups and senior's will help in your ideas, one can take higher studies by shifting to M.Tech which helps them to get a job (higher position).Statistics of placements here are great. Around 70-80% of students do get placed. The average for Non-CS and non-EC branches is roughly 10-12 lakhs. The internship is much more fight from the campus.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very good 24/7 Wi-Fi and LAN which help students to clear their doubts at hostel.

ECE is one of the new branches in IIT Bhubaneswar. The first batch of this branch will be out in 2020. Electrical engineering is present in IIT Bhubaneswar right from its beginning. Before 2016 the electrical engineering in IIT Bhubaneswar is a combination of traditional electrical and electronics engineering(EEE) and Electronics and Communication Engineering(ECE). From 2016 batch both the courses have been divided. A good number of Core companies,Sofware companies and PSU’s hire Electrical Engineers from IIT Bhubaneswar. You can assume that same fashion continues for ECE students also.
Hence, i would suggest you go for IIT bhubaneshwar
Hi Candidate,
IIT Bhubaneshwar is one of the top colleges. Both EEE and ECE branches have many similarities. ECE branch deals with elcetronics as well as communications while EEE branch deals with Electronics engineering. Many top companies visit the college for placements. with high packages. In core companies demand for EEE is more compared to ECE , whereas ECE students can apply for IT companies as well. EEE students dont have much scope in IES. ECE students are also eligibile for government jobs. All the best
Hi Aspirant,
After doing your graduation, you can either go for higher studies in IIT by qualifying GATE or go for M.S in the United States, Germany, Japan, Singapore, etc. If you have graduated from a decent college and have good CG then you'll get accepted by most top colleges around the world. Job opportunities in India for EIE graduate is pretty less. EIE graduate can consider a path in electronics/ automation/ control/ instrumentation/ power/ steel/Telecom/ Networks/ Oil and gas etc.
All the best
Both IIT Gandhi and IIT Bhubaneshwar are good . But I would prefer you to choose IIT Gandhinagar. It has an impressive rating of 4.4/5. Though both are IIT's and almost have the same reviews about infrastructure and faculty it is the placements that matter. The college is visited by top companies with a very good package of 20LPA. All the best
Hello jagthap Risi Kumar.
As far as these two colleges are concerned both are really good IITs. It's relatively tough to choose one but branch you are interested makes it a little simple.
IIT Bhubaneswar is a good choice when you are interested in ECE. IIT dhanbad is good for mining.
I suggest you IIT Bhubaneswar.
Ok
Hii aspirant,
Coming to your question I would first like to congrats you for getting a seat in IIT Bhubaneswar the placements of the college are very good as around 50 - 60 companies visited the campus for the recruitment with a highest package of 39 lakh per annum and a average package of 11.5 lakhs per annum .The ECE branch is a good and a decent branch in the iit Bhubaneswar.
Hope this helps you ,
Good luck.
PLACEMENT STATS OF 2017-18
There is a significant increase in the number of core companies visiting IIT Bhubaneswar. This time more than 50 companies came for recruitment. Although there is no international offer made as CSE being a relatively newer branch here, still the performance of students is on par.
Branch wise Analysis-

Highest- 39 LPA
Average – 14 LPA
2) Electrical Engineering –
Highest- 29.6 LPA
Average – 10 LPA
Placement Percentage -83.34%
3) Mechanical Engineering –

Average – 9.39 LPA
Placement Percentage -91.42%
4) Civil Engineering –

Few things to notice that electrical and mechanical performance is really better than other branches. Also, it was the first passed out batch of metallurgy this year but it has performed quite well. Even CSE second batch passed out this year. IIT Bhubaneswar students have really performed better compared to past performance. This year maybe we can get some international offers.
Note that many students opt for GATE, Civil Services, CAT, startups, higher studies and many other things.
