Which will be best-for mechanical engg. 1. IIT Indore. 2.iit Bhubaneswar. 3.iit (ism)dhanba ? Help.

Ronak Gala Student Expert 19th Jun, 2019

See the answer will be on my personal opinion. All this universities that you mentioned are great, renowned and far better than many of the other institutions. Still if you would like to compare the better in the 3, I'll find IIT (ISM) Dhanbad to be better and top than the other two.

Well, before doing any comparisons I would like to tell more about the legacy institute.

  1. It is a world renowned institution and is ranked 24th by QS world rankings-mineral and mining of 2017.
  2. Internationally ranked 201-250 among BRICS nations in QS world rankings of 2016.
  3. It was named to become the part of Mars Orbiter Mission by ISRO.
  4. The institute has found the largest manganese ore deposit in India worth Rs 36000 crores.
  5. It has many other innumerable achievements every now and then making a great impact.

So at the end decision is upto you.

Best wishes.

hello,I got 3504 rank in iit advanced &279rank in EWS categeroy. Can I get into iit bhuvaneshvar cse or iit hyd electrical?

ATIN KATOCH 19th Jun, 2019

Hello P Kondalarao,

See compared to previous year's cutoff  for the above mentioned IIT'S and branch it seems that you may get  into these college but courses may not be assured as cutoff trend changes almost every year.

Also since EWS category comes this year itself so might he your chances may increase.

 Good Luck

Sir I got 4650 in jee advanced cant decide between EE in IIT Bhubaneswar and ECE in IIT Dhanbad

Kshitij Ranjan 19th Jun, 2019

Hello Vivek,

Congratulations on your commendable performance in JEE Advance. For your answer, I would suggest you shouldd go for IIT Dhanbad ECE. ECE being more inclined towards coding and stuff, becomes the most preferable core branch for Tech. companies. Also if yo want to go for Govt. service ECE would help a lot. Coming to the college, IIT Dhanbad is anew IIT but as a college it was very early established and served as an ISM till 2015. So, it has some reputation. So, you now know what to do. All the best!

Sir my rank is 3507 . EE or ECE at iit bhubaneswar or chemical at Roorkee IIT which is better? where is it easy to change the branch ???

Sanyam 18th Jun, 2019

hello rohit

If you want to change your branch to cse then you should choose iit bhubaneshwar obviously easier than branch change at iit roorkee.

But chemical at iit roorkee as along with branch change option you will be in the top 5 iit and the atmosphere and exposure will be incomparable to iit bhubaneshwar

I got 961 obc rank in jee advanced 2019. Cant decide between IIT Bhubaneswar CSE and IIT BHU electronics. Please suggest with reasons.

Vipul Chaudhary 17th Jun, 2019

Hi Rajeen!

Acc.  to me it actually depends on your choice or interest beacuse some student prefer college over branch and remaining prefer branch over college..If you have a high interest in computers, then according to me give preference to branch over college because many student prefer college and think he/she able to change branch in 2nd year of b.tech but branch change in any IIT is very difficult . If you can't able to chance your branch then you feel regret whole life for giving preference to college over branch.

And according to placement cells of all IIT’S , CSE always been good for us , because CSE have more core sector jobs then other branch. If you have any doubt in branch selection then you must go with CSE BRANCH. IIT-BHU definitely have better cultural, fest, infrastructure , alumni and placement cell but in 2nd generation and 3rd generation iit’s is still growing.. but 2nd generation is well established and ECE branch of these iit’s are really good…

So i think lot for your college and branch preference, but according to me give preference to branch over college.

Or if you do not have any specific interest in computer science, then prefer better college.

Please upvote if this was helpful to you.

Thank you and Good Luck.

IIIT Kanchipuram cse,iit Bhubaneswar civil or Metallurgy which option is best?

SHUBHAM JAIN 16th Jun, 2019

See it depends upon what you want to study one is the iit and other is Iiit but if you want to study computer science only then you can take Iiit but if you want a lifetime tag of IITIAN and branch doesn't matter a lot( being an IITIAN is a big thing)  then you can join IIT.

Can anyone got IIT Bhubaneswar mechanical engineering with 52 marks jee advanced

Sampriti Gupta Student Expert 2nd Jun, 2019

It is really difficult to get into IIT Bhubaneswar with 52 marks even if you fall in reserved category. You need to have at least 80 for reserved category and above 120 in general category to get the college. And for mechanical engineering the competition is always very high so chances are really less. But you can definitely look out for some other good private colleges.
