If i have completed my B-tech in biomedical engineering then i have opted Mtech in Instrumentation engineering for future placements, is it a write option ?

Aditi amrendra Student Expert 26th May, 2020
Hello,

In my opinion, if you have done your bachelor's in Biomedical engineering then you should do you master's too in Biomedical engineering. Also it has good scope in future as you can get research based jobs as well as private/government.Post corona world will focus more on medical and healthcare facility and there will be more and more options in this field so i would recommend you to go for Biomedical engineering.

Good Luck

Dear Aspirant ,

There are very few NITs offering this course one is NIT Tirichy and another one is NIT Jalandhar.

For getting this course at NIT Tirichy you must have All India Rank under 85k for your category and category rank about 2400.

For getting this course at NIT Jalandhar you must have All India Rank under 140000 and category rank about 6400 .

And you can check your rank based on percentile here :-

with 10/10 cgpa in 10, 92% in 12 and 8 cgpa in instrumentation engineering from tier 2 college. will I be able to make it to IIM-A B C? I am female is their any weightage for that

Aditi amrendra Student Expert 9th Apr, 2020
Hello,

Your academics in 10th,12th and undergraduate is outstanding and there is no doubt you can get into top B schools. But if you want to get into IIM A,B,C then you will have to get score a minimum 98+ percentile in CAT and that too for IIMC, but to A or B you will have to get 99 percentile because competition is too tough for IIMs now, many students score perfect 100 percentile every year.

I hope this helps.
