can i get kmit cse or it at 16k rank bcd girl

Samyak Jain 25th May, 2026

Hello Dear Student,

With a 16k BC-D female rank , getting CSE/IT at Keshav Memorial Institute of Technology is difficult because BC-D girls cutoff usually closes around:

  • CSE: 7k–11k
  • IT: 9k–14k
  • AIML/Data Science: 8k–11k

You can still try in later counselling rounds, but it’s better to keep backup colleges/options ready

My teachers said to me that i should choose that subject in which I can put efforts and got sucsess but Ill interested in PCB because I think that i will put efforrts in this stream but i also want to choose commerce subject just because in present time its a craze of commerce so I also want to it

Devika Malik 25th May, 2026

Hi,

Don’t choose Commerce just because it’s a “craze” right now. Choose the stream where you genuinely feel you can study consistently for 2 years without forcing yourself.

From what you wrote, it honestly sounds like your real interest is in PCB, and you feel you can put effort into

Samyak Jain 25th May, 2026

Hello Dear Student,

With 62% in CBSE , you may not meet eligibility for many NITs/IIITs/GFTIs through JoSAA, but you still have good options for CSE through private colleges and state counselling.

Based on your scores:

  • COMEDK (40 marks): You can target tier-2/tier-3 Karnataka colleges like:
    • Acharya Institute of Technology

I failed in my chem and phy 12th board exams its essential repeat so i will give my re exam as a private candidate in next year and i have scored 51 marks including practical no. in bio. My concern is am i eligible for AFMC?

Samyak Jain 25th May, 2026

Hello Dear Student,

According to AFMC eligibility rules, candidates generally must:

  • pass Class 12 in the first attempt as regular students , and
  • score at least 50% individually in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English .

Candidates with compartment/essential repeat or later improvement attempts are usually not eligible for AFMC admission.

i completed bca.. can i take this course? is it easy for those who studied computer science as bachelor degree.. (but i studied biology science in +1+2)

Devika Malik 25th May, 2026

Hi,

Yes, after BCA you can take many tech-related postgraduate courses, and having a Computer Science background in graduation definitely helps.

Even though you studied Biology in 11th–12th, it usually does not become a major problem because your bachelor’s degree is already in computer applications. Most colleges mainly focus on

Is it necessary to go to college daily ?

Devika Malik 26th May, 2026

Hi,

It depends on the college and course. In most regular UG courses, attendance is important and many colleges keep a minimum attendance rule (usually around 75%).

But practically:
• Some colleges are strict about daily attendance
• Some are more relaxed if your attendance stays above the minimum
