Students need to score KVPY cutoff marks in total to qualify the exam. Subject-wise marks do not matter in KVPY.

The eligibility criteria for kvpy is :
# candidates much be studying in 11th grade
# minimum score must be 75% in both maths and science in 10th board
# for Sc, St and PWD is 65%
