I got 252 marks in neet 2022and i belong to the category obc ncl from Maharashtra can i get admission in government college for bsc nursing ....????

Akansha Jha 10th Aug, 2022

Hi there,

BSc Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing is a 4-year undergraduate course in the field of medical science.  The admission into various colleges for Bsc Nursing is done on basis of NEET score and rank.

Your chances of getting a government college would depend on your NEET 2022 rank which varies every year depending on a lot of factors like difficulty level of the paper, number of students appeared etc. Going by previous year's data 290 was the minimum score required to get BSc Nursing in government colleges of Maharashtra like College of Nursing, Mumbai and BJ Nursing college for a obc candidate for which the rank was approximately around 3 lakh. For colleges like GMC Aurangabad it was upto 312 marks. But you can definitely go for some good private colleges too like Terna Medical college, Mumbai or Holy Spirit Nursing College, Mumbai.

You can use this link to predict your expected rank at this score-

Can I get bams at 300 marks in maharashtra 2023 obc category

Ashfeen Ansari 8th Aug, 2022

Hii Urmila,

It is very uncertain to say anything regarding NEET at this point. As the competition is taking a steep increase across the country.

Every year more than 15 lakh students from all over the country appear for this exam so the competition is unduly high.

The cut off, seat availability and admission depends upon the caste, state and ofcourse the result. But due to the huge competiton and no. Of students appearing in the exams this does not makes a huge difference.

The competition in every field of medical is increasing rapidly be it MBBS, B.U.M.S, BAMS, BHMS or any if the field. T he safe score to lock a governement seat in any of the government college varies between 550-600.

Though you will have to wait for the results but you can surely predict your rank and college on the link mentioned below

i have dam affected certificate (project affected) what score will be required for government mbbs seat in Maharashtra state quota?

Krishna Rathod 8th Aug, 2022

Hello aspirant,

Hope you are doing well,

I would like to inform you that the reservation you have mentioned above does not exist in NEET examination. However if you belong to any of the minority you need to have a certificate mentioning that you belong to that particular minority. If you belong to any of the reserved quota you need to score minimum qualifying marks for admission in MBBS in government college. If you belong to general category you need to score minimum 50th percentile to qualify and for OBC/ST/SC category 45th percentile is the minimum qualifying marks.

To know more about NEET reservation categories criteria or cut off read the article below,

Drop your queries for more information

Hope you find this helpful

Good luck!!
