The cut off depends on category as well. You have mentioned your category. The cut off rank to get B.Tech Marine Engineering as per category is:
*General- 904
*OBC- 5838
*SC- 8218
*ST- 9094
If are SC/ST student, you will definitely get a seat. If you are OBC
Yes for marine engineering you can apply for imucet many colleges will give admission based on the imucet and dont loose hope if you not able to do better in jee you have more opportunities than this .

Congrats for getting seat in Anna University.Yes the bachelors in Marine Engineering is good enough in Anna University. Mechanical Engineering , Electronics and communication engineering are also good of Anna University.
