MBBS seats
There are approximately 251 Government Medical Colleges across India. And they offer approximately 41, 388 seats. And NEET is the entrance examination for admission to MBBS courses across India. These seats are filled through 15% All India Counselling and 85% State Counselling following Constitutional reservations. And to be eligible for NEET, you should have completed your 12th, passed in all subjects and secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. It is 50% for General Category, 45% for PWD and 40% for OBC,SC,ST. Now if you belong to OBC Category, the Category you belong to should be also listed in the Central OBC list. Or else you will be considered as General Category and so you have to secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. This 50% is inclusive of the Theory and Practical marks scored in Physics, Chemistry and Biology collectively. You needn't score 50% in Physics, 50% in Chemistry and 50% in Biology separately. You need an aggregate of 50% or 40% depending on your Category as an aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. And along with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, you should also have studied English as one of the core subjects in your 12th.

10% reservation applies to ASCOMS Jammu. This Medical College has an annual seat intake of 100 and so approximately 10 seats are allotted to EWS Reservation. Now we do not have 2019 EWS data for this College but n 2019 under State Quota, 489 marks secured a seat in ASCOMS under Open Merit. Now this is 2019 data and cut offs change every year. Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. Even if this is Open Merit Category cut off, you will still need atleast 500 for a seat in this College under Open Merit Category.
