cut off rank for metallurgical and materials engineering in Maharaja sayajirao University
Hello!!!
Hope you are doing great!!!
The Maharaja Sayajirao university of Baroda takes the admission based on GUJCET Examination which is conducted by the state government for admissions into various engineering courses. The closing GUJCET rank in the previous year is around 10803 (home state rank) for general category , for BE in mettalurgical and materials engineering. You can find the previous year cutoff's for various branches in engineering in the provided link below:

How is he placement scenario in Mtech Metallurgical and Materials Engineering in IITs/IISc?
hi,
see the placement is good for iisc or old iits like iit kharagpur, iit delhi, iit bombay, iit kanpur, students get placement in core companies which are closely related with materials science,
however for new iits the placement scenario is not good for core engineering branches, students wither go for teaching lines or may appear in IT companies different consultant position job roles.
which branch is better environmental engineering or metallurgical and materials engineering???
Hi Alpesh
In terms of future scope, environmental engineering is a growing branch, and metallurgical engineering a slow declining branch . Because of rising concerns surrounding climate change, more and more engineers are needed by the public and private organisations that are skilled in energy and waste management. Policy makers too require the expertise of these engineers/specialists to make more nature friendly decisions
what are the cobination of various streams of mechanical enginnering? Is metallurgy a combination of mechanical?
Metallurgy is a domain of materials science that studies the physical and chemical behavior of metallic elements but yes, metallurgy is a branch of Mechanical Engineering. The other sub-branches of Mechanical engineering are Automobile engineering,Mechatronics,Power Plant engineering,Marine engineering,Industrial engineering,Robotics engineering etc...
All the best!!
Is metallurgy a chore branch? if not to which stream it belongs to?
Hello Bhandhavi, yes metallurgy is a core branch and it is a seperate one, often combined with material sciences,it is emerging as one of the top courses one can take in engineering, if offers good paying jobs but the jobs are little in require of man power and hardwork.
Hope this helps.
Thank you.
In railways is metallurgy considered as a stream of mechanical?
No, Metallurgy branch will not be considered as Mechanical branch if you are applying for RRB exams.
I hope this helps.
can we consider metallurgy as other streams of mechanical or is there any obstrucle in saying so?
In generally if we talk so metallurgy is a subject of mechanical engineering , it is not a core branch but now you study it like a core branch because many companies require student who have complete metallurgy based knowledge that's why it is considered as a core branch,
For more detail about metallurgy you can go with the below link.

Best of luck.
Is metaliurgy a chore branch? if not which sub stream it belongs?
Metallurgy branch of engineering is not a core branch in actual it is a subject branch of mechanical engineering, it is a narrow branch of mechanical engineering but still you study it like a core branch because there are many core companies which required candidates with purely metallurgy based knowledge.
Best of luck.
