NIT Mizoram is one of the new nit established in 2010, it is located in Aizam which has mesmerizing weather. Coming to infrastructure it has high tech infrastructure, visual classrooms infrastructure. Moving on to faculty, faculty is experienced, they are PHDs and some of them are master's. It has low ranking because of its location as it is located in remote area. Coming to placements , placement records has improved, now average salary package offered is around 8 lakhs and also ECE is branch which offers good scope in government sector.

The NIT Mizoram is not the best NIT you can get in india. The education and faculty members all are very helpful but the problem comes with the placement as the placement are very less because not many companies visit here

Hello Pranay, NIT Mizoram is a very low ranking NIT and since you got NIT mizoram, your chances to get any higher ranking NIT is negligible. However some other NITs you may get in are:

• NIT agartala
• NIT srinagar
• NIT jalandhar
• NIT arunachal
• NIT sikkim

Even with a low rank, NIT mizoram is a very prestigious institute in the state and enjoys all the perks being of being a NIT. Reputation and brand often matters in case of placements, so go for it if you dont get any other better NIT.

Honestly, it isn't. Even CSE at NIT Mizoram isn't worth joining. Better you look for some private colleges. These are only for the sake of NITs, have some name otherwise say it the placements, nothing like a good government college.

Among all these NITs i would suggest you to choose between NIT nagaland and NIT manipur.

As they both belong to north east you will face a common problem of Food and accomodation.

But why i rejected NIT mizoram because its too remote . It is its major disadvantage. And it is low ranked and not high media coverages. So placement oppurtunities decrease too due to these factors.

As far as NIT nagaland And NIT manipur are conisdered, They  both are very good.

NIT nagaland is one of the most beautiful institutions of india. Mianipur lies in beautiful side too.

NIT manipur offers great placements for all branches.

2107-2018 highest package was 18 lacs per annum in microsoft for CSE and 17.5 lacs each for ME branches.

So both are good NITs  but due to their north east mainland both of them faces common problems and are devoid of common amenities.

But the beauty of these states takes you over a roller coaster ride.

last decision is yours. NIT- manipur or nagaland

Yes, you can definitely choose slide option for CSE in NIT Mizoram, but you must keep this in mind while choosing slide option is that after choosing slide, you won't be eligible for an upgrade in college and only Branch. And if you choose float option then an upgrade in college is also possible.

The below given sedetai are based on the review given by the students of CSE branch passed out from the respective colleges.

NIT Mizoram - More than 80% eligible students placed in companies. The highest package is 17.9lacs, which is secured by CSE department student in BPCL company. Here every year about 5 students go for foreign internship. One of the alumni is working in Microsoft. And now many companies come every year.

PSIT Kanpur - Mostly everyone in B.Tech gets placed within the first week of placement drive. Salary packages offered varies from 3.5 LPA to 10 LPA. Infosys is the day one recruiter and hires approximately 300 students. Companies like TCS, IBM, etc., are among other recruiters.

After all it's your decision to make according to your easiness as both the colleges are decent.
