Hi Ansh
I think without even a single doubt, your choice should be NIT Mizoram.
It is always beneficial to choose a government college over a private college. Please don't be confuse about that choice.
If you're looking at the college just in terms of studies and placements, then you should definitely go for NIT Mizoram.
Hope the answer helps!
Hello dear,
NIT mizoram is a goverment institute approved by UGC. It has been given an overall rating of AAA which means above average as per careers360. The electrical and electronics engineering branch is quite good. For more information, visit:

All the best!
Hey Yash,
If i have no scope then i will be their.
You know what only the tag of NITs is enough and not all the NITs are good. Belive me.
They have just their NIT's tag and nothing. Execept top 10-15 NITs left are not good. Their acedemics are not good. Systems are dead, hostel facilites and food quality are dead. I am in NIT i know better . I don't want to tell you about my college name but in it food quality is dead, lacks of books in library, no network even in jio in my hostel also we get lan connection maximum 7-9 days in a month and rest day we do nothing.
In the maximum lab of this college , the overall equipments are damaged specially in electronics and electrical lab.
Good Luck!
Hey Aradhya,
It depends on your situatuion.
If you did not do any other counselling and you have no good scope then you can take admission in NIT M. It is not a bad NIT , it is also good . You will get the stamp of NIT that is valuable .
It is one of the new NIT’s so it is still in its development phase.
Infrastructure: College has been shifted to its new campus i.e. Langol Campus 3–4 years ago. Prior to this it was in Takyel. Campus is still developing and under construction. A lot of work is needed in this department. (2 out of 5)
Faculty: It has a mixed bag faculty. Few are very good others are average. They hold P.hd degrees. Chemistry department is quite exceptional. (3/5)
Library: Most of the books are available. But for good books you will have to go to Takyel campus. (3/5)
Sports and extra-curriculars: Well! This is what boys crave for, isn’t it? College hosts OUGRI as cultural fest (which is fantastic, almost whole Imphal participates and has various events like Quizzing, Debate, Treasure Hunt, Sudoku, Dance Competition, Singing, but most importantly Miss. Ougri compet.) And one Sports event which has Cricket, Kabbadi, Kho-kho, Chess, Carrom, Badminton, etc. But most importantly and fun would be INTER NIT TOURNAMENTS. I can vouch for it as I have been a part of it. (3.5/5)
Food and Mess: Worst part so get ready to adjust. We have done many strikes for this so quality is now a lil better but still. (2.5/5)
Students & Seniors: This is one department that will not disappoint you. The students are exceptionally good especially General and OBC (Reservation, no offence). Competion will compel you to perform better and better. Seniors are supportive. They run clubs to support and enhance performance.
Placements: Something that we all need to know. CSE has the best placement record, needless to say. Highest placement this year (2017–18) was around 21 lacs per annum by Microsoft. Second and third was 18 and 16 lacs per annum for ME department. EE and ECE are also doing fairly well (around 10 lacs each for this year). But Placement trends change and completely depends on your individual performance. (3/5)
Being a NITian has its own benefits. If you have a better state college then go for it otherwise NIT-M is good. With the arrival of new director, things are changing rapidly and a lot of positive steps are being taken. In the coming 3–4 years, this college will do farely well. I hope you got a good view. You can contact me for further assistance.
