Sir..my marks in punjab ntse stage 1 are 141 and my name is not in selected candidates list whereas many candidates scoring below 140 are selected for stage 2 . Why is it so??

Charu, I am sorry you are not in the list. The reason for people below your marks getting there name in the list can be due their reservation category or some other reservation provided to them like EWS that is economic backward classes reservation. So it's due to that they

Ntse stage 1 exam was held in the Month of November 2019. The result for ntse stage 1 exam is declared by respective scert. Many states have declared their result. So it is expected that soon the result for wb ntse will be declared most probably in Second week

The expected cut off is as follows for NTSE stage 1 Punjab is as follows for each category

  • General: 130-140
  • SC: 110-120
  • ST: 85-95

The official cut off is yet to be announced.However, cut off is subjected to change it may increase or decrease slightly based on various factors
