sir i belong to OBC-(ncl) Category that is i belong to bc-E category. so in neet application form do you belong to minority category? what should i write.iam form telangana state...please reply.

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 8th Jul, 2020

Soha, OBC is not a Minority community. But there are Minority Castes. And while filling Category in NEET Application form, you should check if your Community falls under Central OBC List. If yes, then you can fill the Category as OBC Category. Now Muslims are a Minority Community and so where it asks you if you belong to Minority Community, you need to select "Yes". Please remember that the correction window will close by July 15th. So you might have to hurry up. And you will be entitled to 12% reservation in the State Counselling as per the State Government's 2017 ruling. So if you belong to BC-E Category, you will need atleast 500 for a seat in a GMC of Telangana. And if you are preparing for NEET, you may as well try our NEET Knockout package: https://learn.careers360.com/knockout-neet-may/ . And because you have 2 more months to prepare for NEET, you may as well use this opportunity.

if I made corrections in the neet application form then will I get email after the corrections are made?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 4th Jul, 2020

No. Let's say you make changes in your NEET application form, now once you click on Final Submit, you will get a confirmation page. That is the proof that your request for corrections have been accepted and the changes have been made because that is the reason a correction window is made available in the first place. They will reflect on your application. Now these changes will reflect on your Admit card as well depending on the details that you have made changes to. But let's say for some reason the changes do not reflect on your admit card once you receive it, you need to immediately reach out to the helpdesk. And NTA will make a note of these changes that did not reflect and shall intimate you that these will show up on your NEET application form and then the counselling registration should you qualify in NEET. And you will be still allowed to appear for the exam. NTA will look into that. But truth be told, you making changes and they not reflecting on the application form are very minima. So do not worry about it. And if you are preparing for NEET, you may as well try our NEET Knockout package: https://learn.careers360.com/knockout-neet-may/ .

I submitted my neet application form with fathers name Ramesh Kumar Sahu same as in aadhar card but 10 n 12th marksheet has Ramesh Kr Sahu please let me know whether my admit card will come or not or will I face any problem during counselling as this year we have uploaded scanned copy of 10 result

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 1st Jul, 2020

We would suggest you to write to NTA at their help desk: neet@nta.ac.in to get this clarified. It is true that you should mention the details as per the 10th marks sheet, but now, after the correction window has been closed, it is like being worried over spilled milk. We understand where your apprehensions are coming from. But when you filled up the application form, you also uploaded your 10th marks sheet and both the Application form and 10th marks sheet certainly have different names under Father's name column. But if you did not receive any notification or a mail from NTA regarding the uploaded document stating that there is a mismatch of details at both places, you are technically safe. So you should not be worried about this. NTA cannot over look the uploaded documents and that is why students get notifications regarding reuploading of uploaded documents. If you did not get any such notification, NTA must have considered it to be fine. So you do not have to worry about this. But in general, the chances why an application might be rejected are:

  • If an incomplete application has been submitted.
  • The same Candidate has submitted different application forms
  • If the details mentioned in the application do not match with the document that you have uploaded.

Is the date still valid for correction of NEET application form 2020

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 24th Jun, 2020
Anu, the correction window was closed on May 31st. Now the dates for NEET 2020 are being discussed. There has been no update yet either from MHRD or NTA. At this point in time, nothing is clear. CBSE is supposed to give a statement to the Supreme Court as on June 23rd regarding either postponement or cancellation of its board exams. And that hearing has been postponed to June 25th. And NTA will also have to consider many other factors before postponing NEET. The MHRD did announce that there might be an official statement regarding a fresh schedule for NEET, JEE and UGC-NET today. So there might be a change in the schedule of the exam. We do not have clear information as such as of now. There might be an official statement atleast before the end of the day. So please wait to hear from MHRD regarding this. You can ask either check the official news or you can come back on the 25th June here. We should have updated information by then.

dear sir/mam ,if i take additional bio from nios ,and right now i am a pcm student , then what details i have to give in neet application form , like which board i have studied in and especially what roll no. and other stuffs as well ?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 13th Jun, 2020

Manish, If you are studying  Physics and Chemistry already in your 12th, you can take up Biology as an additional subject from NIOS. You will need a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology combined. It is 50% for General Category, 45% for PWD and 40% for OBC,SC,ST. Now regarding the application form, for 2021, you will mention your regular 12th board details like Roll number, School, etc. Because that is from where you are studying your 12th. You can submit your Biology marks separately.

my fathers name is Rohit (exampler name) Kumar Biswas and written as Rohit Kr Biswas in 10 marksheet and i have submitted the form as Rohit Kumar Biswas will it lead to rejection of my neet application form 2020

Sharon Rose Student Expert 1st Jun, 2020

Hello,

Your details filled in NEET application form must match with the details in your class 10 certificate such as your name, father's name, mother's name, DOB etc.As your father's name entered in NEET application form is different from the name in class 10 certificate you need to get an affidavit which states that both the name belongs to your father and submit it during the document verification then you will be okay.

I corrected neet application form with fathers name X Kr Y given in 10th marksheet but UIDAI card has fathers name X Kumar Y . it has KR in result and Kumar in Aadhar card . if admit card comes fathers name be X KR Y n aadhar will be X Kumar Y will exam invigilator allow me to sit in exam

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 6th Jul, 2020

If you have heard of the Supreme Court's ruling in regards to Aadhar Card not being mandatory for Educational and Admission purposes, it clearly states that your Aadhar card is NOT MANDATORY to be shown as an Identity proof. You can show your Driving License or Ration Card or even Voter Id card, Even they will work. You can take any one of them and you will BE ALLOWED TO APPEAR FOR THE EXAM. So if you have made the corrections in your NEET application form, do not worry because everything is going to be just fine. Start preparing for NEET as you have just a couple of minutes for your exam. The mistake that scared you all this while has been rectified and this is the time for preparing for your exam. So focus solely on the exam. And if you are preparing for NEET, you may as well try our NEET Knockout package: https://learn.careers360.com/knockout-neet-may/ . And because you have 2 more months to prepare for NEET, you may as well use this opportunity. There should be a systematic approach in preparing for NEET.

the photo uploaded in the neet application form is of blue background and the date is also not mentioned .will it be a problem?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 26th May, 2020
NTA ideally notifies Candumidates requesting for uploading Photograph, Signature and Thumb impression if they do not meet NTA guidelines. But since the correction window has been opened multiple times, Candidates themselves can upload correct images. The blackground colour issue might be still fine. The date is also fine. The only reason the Date needs to be mentioned is to check if the photo is a recent one. But as long as you do not receive any notification from NTA, you are good.
