Does NTA total score is our cmat percentile? If not how to calculate the percentile?

NAVNEET PANDEY 9th Apr, 2021

Hello aspirant,

I am giving you the formula given by NTA to calculate your percentile -

Percentile P =. 100x Number of candidates appeared in the examination with raw marks equal to or less than the candidate/Total number of candidates appeared.

NTA score is normalised score also percentile, and CMAT score is given out of 400. NTA score is also your percentile.

I hope this helps,

Best of luck.

ayanmukherjee045 10th Apr, 2021

Dear aspirant,

I think the score which you have secured in cmat 2021 is a bit low for getting good colleges , you need to have a much higher score for getting colleges with a higher cut off.

Regarding the calculation of percentile you can check out the link given below-

Considering the previous year cut off you have chances of shortlisting for

With such score you may not get seat in NITs or IIITs. You need to score minimum 90-95 percentile or more to get seat in NITs or IIITs. You can find the cut off for NITs and IIITs if you click the link below

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-top-iiits

the highest nta score cna only be 100 ? then what is this score that everyone is talking about that they get 120 130 can onyone explains me amd helping me geeting my score

Sharon Rose Student Expert 9th Apr, 2021

Hello,

If your query is is regarding NTA JEE Main then NTA releases the JEE Main score in terms of percentile score which is also known as NTA score. The percentile score is in between 0-100. Percentile is the percentage of candidates who have score equal or less marks than you. The marks scored by the candidates will be converted in to percentile score. JEE Main Paper 1 is conducted for 300 marks Paper 2 is conducted for 400 marks. NTA releases the JEE main answer key and response sheet so that candidates can calculate the marks scored by. JEE Main marks may range from negative number to 300 marks for Paper 1 and for paper 2 it may range from negative number to 400 marks. So if it above 100 then it is means it is Marks scored by the candidates. If it ranges from 0-100 then it is percentile/NTA score. The percentile score is rounded to 7 decimal points to break the tie. The percentile vs marks trend may not be exactly the same every year because it depends on the total number of candidates appeared, top score in exam, normalized marks etc.

You can read our article on JEE Main percentile vs marks analysis using the link below

my total nta subject scores is 161 and total nta score is 64.33 .....then what are they and what is my percentile .....please explian me breifly please

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 9th Apr, 2021

Hi

Your total nta score is nothing but your percentile score only.

So, your Percentile is 64.33 percentile.

With  64.34 percentile

With 64.34 percentile you hold a low chance to qualify JEE main and be eligible for JEE advanced examination if you are from general category

For example,

In 2020, qualifying cutoff for general category was 90.3765335 and jee main 2021 expected qualifying cut off percentile is 90-95 percentile.

You can check the same at our page the link is provided below

how we get marks? Is they total of nta score pf individual subjects or somethibg else?

Anurag Khanna 9th Apr, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

See now JEE-Main result pattern has been changed and now the percentile system has been adopted to avoid the partiality with the students appearing in different shifts. Now your marks are calculated by NTA and then those marks marks are converted to RAW score or NTA score or percentile which generally means that your score is equal or more than such percentage of students.

For e.g. if you are getting 98 percentile then it means that your are ahead of those 98% students who have scored equal or less than you in your shift.

How the final result will be calculated for those who are appearing for more than one attempt of JEE-Main 2021 :-

> The best out of four JEE Main scores will be taken into consideration for final result.

> All India rank in JEE Main 2021 will be allotted to you on the basis of your best of four percentiles. Let me make you clear with an example, suppose you have got 90 percentile in first attempt, 92 in second, 89 in third and 94 in fourth, so your final result will be made by taking the best result which is of 94 percentile so your final percentile would be 94 and ranking will be given to you according to it.

> As per your category, if you belongs to any reserved category then you will have CRL (Common Rank List) Rank as well as category rank of your respective category.

The final result will get declared after JEE Main May session .

For complete details about JEE-Main 2021 Result kindly check out the link given below :-

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!!

If 90-95% questions comes from NCERT in NEET so why it becomes difficult to score 500+? suggest me something to score 550+? (to revise within 2 months)

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 8th Apr, 2021

Hi

Though more than 90-95 % questions in neet are based on ncert but scoring 500+ or more becomes difficult because it's not like that in NEET examination you will get questions directly from NCERT questions exercises, the question are just based on NCERT concepts. Moreover, in NEET examination ,the question are of objective type and the kind of question and the difficulty level of questions which are asked in NEET are not there in NCERT for practice and Neet examination is all about MCQs and practice and that is why aspirants have to follow other books in addition to NCERT as well.

Preparing for Neet examination in just two months is difficult but yes so you can meet your goal if you study with focus and dedication. F irst of all go through each chapter and while studying the chapter, your major focus should be on understanding the concepts . Major focus should be on ncert ,as around 90 % questions in neet are from ncert concepts, and as you have less time, focus and stress more on  important and scoring topics or chapters which are listed below subject wise along with their chapter wise weight age based on past year neet papers

PHYSICS

  • Optics - 10%

  • Semiconductors- 9%

To help you plan your studies ,you can get the chapter wise weightage of all the chapters at

https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-chapter-wise-weightage-and-important-topics

*Practice questions:- after finishing each chapter you should practice numericals and mcqs .You should practise at least 80 to100 numericals and mcqs in Each chapter to master concepts so that you can solve numericals and MCQs easily.

* Short breaks :- take short breaks in between your studies, studying continuously can be brain tiring and it becomes difficult to focus and study with concentration, so take breaks to relax and refresh your brain.

* Make short notes:- You should make chapterwise short notes for each chapter and it should contain all the important concepts and formulas. These short notes will be a great revision tool for your examination.

* Set  goals :- set daily goals like I have to cover these many topics today, weekly goals like I have to  cover these chapters this week and  solve their mcqs too by the end of this week and meet them without any fail.

* Follow a routine or timetable :- you can make a routine and religiously follow it and try to give at least 7- 8 hours to study each day in your routine.

-)PHYSICS is the  toughest part for most of the medical aspirants  as it has both numericals and concepts to deal with ,so keep at least 3 hours each day for physics

-)In Chemistry you have to deal with reactions and learn them and solve questions as well, so give at least 2.5 hours to Chemistry

-)In biology you have to read, learn and revise again and again, so keep around 2.5 hours for Biology.

*Revise:-  revise your concepts,  formulas etc at regular intervals . Revision is very important otherwise as you won't be able to recall or remember whatever you have learnt and forget them and you  won't be able to perform well in your examination.

*Solve previous year NEET question  :- Solving previous year questions will let you know the examination pattern, type of questions asked in the exam and difficulty level of questions, also concepts  of the questions often gets repeated so it will be of great help to you . You can get previous year neet papers at

https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-question-paper

* Go through NEET mock test papers :-  it will let you know your preparation level .After solving each mock test paper, analyse yourself which will help you to know your weak areas /topics  so that you can work on them and them strong so that you can perform well in your examination.

To prepare well you can go for our neet program at the convenience of your home, the link for the same is provided below :-
