Bsc. Nuclear medicine technology is a 3 year undergraduate course, which teaches about diagnosis and treatment of diseases in patients using radioactive medicines.
It is based upon chemical, physical, applied anatomy facts.
It is different from ct scans, tomography etc.

Here is the first year syllabus of this course:-
Human anatomy
Physiology
Basics of computer

It has a high scope in coming future.

Now, Bsc. Radiology is also a 3 year undergraduate exam which is based upon Ct scans, Mri, tomography, xrays etc. .

Subjects in Radiology
Principles of Medical Imaging

Medical Biochemistry

Radiographic Technique

Para- clinic Training

Human Anatomy

Radiation Physics

It is also a huge scope career in India and abroad also.

So now, you should decide based on your interests .
As both are high salary and high scope courses.

Yes, The candidates who have completed their bachelor of science degree or Bachelor of Science Honours degree in physics, chemistry, mathematics, zoology, microbiology, biochemistry, Bioinformatics, biotechnology, or Nuclear medicine are eligible for doing masters science Nuclear medicine.

A nuclear medicine technologist is a highly specialized profession with the primary focus on how the body functions in order to help in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of diseases. They prepare and administer small amounts of radioactive substances known as “Radiopharmaceuticals” along with other medications and treatments. The main responsibility of the Nuclear Medicine Technologists is to create the internal images of the human body organs by using radioactive drugs called radiopharmaceuticals.

Yes , The students of B.Sc. Medical Imaging Technology can also be hired as Nuclear Medicine Technologists.

The basic eligibility criteria to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Medicine Technology:

  1. The aspiring candidates should have cleared 10+2 examinations in physics, chemistry, biology, and English with Biology or Mathematics as optional subjects with at least 45% to 50% marks and should have passed out from the recognized institution or board.
  2. Few reputed institutes conduct entrance examination for the admission as well.

The Master of Science in Nuclear Medicine Technology is a two-year full-time program and the basic eligibility criteria to pursue a Master of Science in Nuclear Medicine Technology:

Sorry to say but for M.Sc Nuclear Medicine you must pass your graduation in B.Sc Nuclear Medicine. However, you can try other paramedical courses as per your interests or go for DMLT instead.
