Ofcourse you can get direct admission in any college but after paing a very high amount of donation or fees or whatever you want to say it. It is also possible that you are asked for transferring complete fees and don't get admission also. So be aware of that.

No Baliram,MHCET is not important for petroleum engineering.It is only needed for petroleum enginerring that are in Maharastra state.You can opt for various other colleges in our country that provides the degree as such.They just need JEE Mains marks.
