Hello student ,
The eligibility criteria for MSC in polymer chemistry/polymer science states that the candidate must have completed graduation in any relevant subject such as chemistry, mathematics, physics, etc., with minimum 50% marks from a recognised university. However the eligibility criteria may change slightly for different colleges and universities. So, you must check accordingly before applying.
Hi,
Bachelor of Science Honours in Polymer Science is an undergraduate Polymer Engineering course. Polymer Science or Macromolecular Science is the subfield of materials science concerned with polymers, primarily synthetic polymers such as plastics. The field of polymer science includes researchers in multiple disciplines including chemistry, physics, and engineering. The course includes chemistry, physics, chemical engineering and biochemistry. Polymer science is the study of the materials of everyday life and the development of new materials that meet societal and technological needs. Course structure introduces the students to Polymers that are usually manufactured in the form of fibres, yarns, flakes and granules. The course is career orienting in nature that provides many jobs after its completion.
Aspiring students should have passed 10+2 with science or its equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 50% from a recognised school board.
Hope this helps
Wish you luck
Hello Sanjay,
The calculation of best 4 for meeting the cutoff for B.Sc hons. in Polymer Science should compulsorily include one language subject along with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics only.
Therefore, you cannot include computer science marks instead of Mathematics.
Hope this helps. All the best!
Yes, you are definitely eligible for GATE CH Chemical Engineering and henceforth a strong career with PSUs lile ONGC, IOCL, SAIL, HPCL, BPCL, KIOCL, NMDC, BARC, DRDO and many others. You may even plan a M.Tech in some of the Higher Technical Institutions like IITs, IISc or Good NITs post you GATE

Hi Varsha
The students who have an aggregate of 50%marks in masters degree from universities or institutions recognized by UGC in Humanities, Computer Science and applications, Social Science etc are eligible for the appearing in UGC NET.So you can apply.
Hey
It's up to you to decide which course you want to pursue since the colleges are different and the course too.
Many students choose the course over college but you should avoid it. Talking about the scope, mathematical science is a good subject and has more scope than that of polymer science. Whereas, talking about the college, the quality of academics and faculty is better in Bhaskarayacharya College of Applied Science.
I hope you understood. Thanks
