kumardurgesh1802 23rd May, 2025

Hello Aditya,

With a 76 marks and an 85–90 percentile in the MHT CET 2025, and belonging to the Hindi Linguistic Minority category, your chances of securing admission to the B.Tech Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (AI & DS) program at Thakur College of Engineering and Technology (TCET), Mumbai are promising. Here's a detailed breakdown:

Expected Cutoff for AI & DS at TCET (2025)

General Category (Home State) : The closing percentile for AI & DS in previous years ranged between 93.61 and 92.17 .

Hindi Linguistic Minority (HLM) : As a Hindi minority candidate, you may benefit from a lower cutoff. While specific data for HLM is not available, minority category cutoffs are typically more lenient.

Given your 85–90 percentile , you are well within the competitive range for the AI & DS program at TCET.

Admission Process

Eligibility: Ensure you meet the eligibility criteria, which include passing the 10+2 examination with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories) in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

Counseling: Participate in the MHT CET counseling process. During the counseling, you can select TCET as your preferred institute and the AI & DS program as your desired course.

Seat Allotment: Based on your percentile, category, and preference, seats will be allotted. Keep an eye on the official counseling portal for updates.

Both the colleges are 'A' Graded College with various facilities like :

I havent appeared for my tcet exam, what am I supposed to do know if most of the colleges I want to apply require tcet rank?

Shubham Dhane 29th Mar, 2021

Hello,

Few colleges accept various other exams too. So check whether the colleges you want admissions in accept any other exam or not. If they do you can apply for them and then get admissions in the college you like. If they don't then maybe there won't be any other way. Few college accept admissions through Management Quota too. So you can check whether the colleges you want admissions accept Management Quota or not. You can even call the respective colleges and ask them what are the different ways of admissions other than TCET.

I got 97.02 ile in cet (open) I want cs/it in thakur or fr agnel(bandra), which one i should opt? As thakur has higher Nirf rank from Fr agnel.

S. Saha Student Expert 3rd Dec, 2020

97.02 percentile in MHTCET means you can accept a rank in the range of 4000 to 8000. Now this is not your actual rank rather it is assumption based on MHTCET Percentile vs rank statistics.

Now if we go through last year's cutoffs, then you can expect

Computer Science and Information Technology in both Thakur College of Engineering and Technology and Fr Rodrigues Bandra.

Now Thakur College of Engineering and Technology has better ratings and ranking than Rodrigues's. Even the placement records are pretty good. So if you wish to go for Thakur, then you can. Also read the students reviews first https://www.careers360.com/colleges/thakur-college-of-engineering-and-technology-mumbai

But keep in mind that these are based on last year's data and this year the cutoffs can change. To get complete list of all colleges you can get based on your rank use this link https://www.careers360.com/mht-cet-college-predictor
