How good is SSN college, Chennai (Madras) in terms of all facilities, Hostel accomodation, food( I prefer veg only) infrastructure, & other

Decent lab and library facilities, sports complexes been established and wifi enabled classrooms.

Safe and secured hostels with variety if food available at Mess.

Veg food is available everyday and is affordable enough.
Rooms are witgout AC in Hostel although have high hygienic facilities.

I have got 91.75% in CBSE board and my TNEA cutoff is 183.5.Do I have a chance of getting chemical in SSN college(chennai)?

Hi Srinivasan.

Most of the seats in SSN are filled through TNEA, in which only your cutoff marks are considered. If you're of General category, then you won't get Chemical in SSN through TNEA, as the cutoff for OP is 194.5. You can try for the management seats. Check their website for more details. The cutofff will be different for different categories.

Thanks for approaching us. To get a seat in SSN Chennai you should have a good PCM cutoff of 190+

The admissions are based on Anna University Counselling and it totally depends on your PCM cutoff.

I got 178.5cutoff can I get seat in st.joseph college Chennai according to TNEA counselling??

Hi Subha.

With a cutoff mark of 178.5, you can get any of the branches available branches in ST. Joseph's college. The average cutoff is around 100, while the highest is for CS - 176. This is for OC, and it changes according to the category.

The Eligiblity criteria for SSN college is :

1. Selection of candidates will be based on the Qualifying marks (Q) obtained in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry in Plus Two or equivalent.
2. Q = M + ((P+C) / 2), where M, P and C are percentage marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry respectively.
3. Selection is solely on Merit.
4. Mere submission of data sheet is not a guarantee for selection.
