Hi VIT and VIIT are the sister branches. The placements and teaching staff is also common.
First opt for vit and then surely for viit.

Yes you are eligible for direct second year lateral admission into VIT pune for diploma aggregate marks.

Under SC category cutoff near 75%, however can drop tgis year as well.

So keep hopes high and you do have decentchances of conversion into IT stream.

I got 112 marks in mht cet and my defence rank is 178 so will I be able to get admission in VIT Pune in instrumentation or in VIIT Pune ??

I think, you should choose VIT Pune rather than VIIT becoz it is not main branch
You can have option
1. VIT
2. PCCOE
3. PVG
4. MIT Alandi
But VIT and PCCOE are best option.

If CS Communication is a subject that interests you and something you can cope with, then I would say that you go for KIIT since VIT Pune and KIIT do not have much difference. Your subject of choice should be important rather than the college unless the college has a bad reputation
