Vishwakarma Institute of Information Technology, Pune
Hello, See what i understand regarding taking drop then what i will say is that this decision should completely be yours. No one should force you to anything. If you are confident about yourself then you can drop but viit pune is also a good college. So if you don't want cs then you can drop and work hard for next year.
Hello Yash,
Both the colleges are best in some of the fields
SGGSIET, Nanded
Placements : Nearly 50% placement is done every year through the campus. CSE branch has the highest placement ratio, i.e. 80%. Most of them are placed in TCS. Other companies that are visiting the campus are IBM, Hella, Immersion, etc. The average package offered is 3 to 4 lacs per annum. The highest package offered is 5 lacs per annum this year.
Infrastructure : The infrastructure is very good with a green campus, labs, high-speed Wi-Fi, ATM, canteens, playground, etc. There are different courts for different sports. The labs are equipped with modern instruments. The quality of food in the canteen is not much healthy, so I prefer food outside the college.
Faculty : The faculty is not much experienced, but they try their the best. Some faculty are very helping, while some are arrogant. Most of the faculty are young with no experience. There is also a high ratio of faculty members with PhD. The student-faculty ratio is 60:1. The college has their own syllabus curriculum which they say is similar to IITs.
VIIT Pune
Placements : Very good placement and training cell. Almost 60-80% student get placed every year. Average package offered per year is 3.5 Lacs. Many top companies like Whipro, Mahindra and mahindra, Infosyse select students every year. Average package offered is 3.5L.
Infrastructure : Good infrastructure. But transportation system is not so good. Also there is electricity problem sometimes. Labs with all equipments and necessary devices. Poor internet connectivity. I will rate library 8 out of 10. It provide all kinds of books. Breakfast in canteen is good but lunch is not of good quality. You have many messes like Maheshwari messnear college which provide quality food. College hostel is also good.
Faculty : Experienced and Well graduated faculty members. Senior as well as junior teachers are very intelligent. Teachers are multitalent and try to give best. They teach as per industrial requirements. Due to Autonomy college has right to decide syllabus. We have many application based topics.
its not worthy enough to take a drop
Definitely are prestigious but having a break just for the purpose of getting into one of these institutes isn't really worth..my advice to you will always be to continue with the institute u get. For not getting into coep you will miss the following so called important things:
Infrastructure
Placements
And the tag of b tech (which doesn't really really matter)
What really matters is placements if u really wish to work immediately after your graduation.and if you really have the talent, you can be placed in a good mnc no matter what college u study in,just make sure the college you study has some placements.
Hope you find it helpful
let me know in the comment box if you are having any further doubts
thanks
Good Luck!
Hello Harshal,
VIIT is a quite good college. It was established in 2002 and has a good placement record. According to me, you should go for VIIT Pune, especially if you are getting a CSE branch. Although it is a private Institute, but it has a low fee of about 6 lakh, while the average package is around 3.6 lakh, therefore the college is not very good, but still, it is considered over many other colleges

Companies like accenture, google, tata, visited regularly. Nearby 40% students got internship from college. Our college has a good placement cell too.
Infrastructure : VIIT has one of the good infrastructure. Every branch has separate 3 floor buildings. And every building has Wi-Fi, labs, good classroom, Library, various sports equipment are available in our sports lab. Visit conducts various outdoor and indoor games, the quality of food in our canteen is good, hostel rooms are awesome.

Hello,
I must say the best engineering college in Maharashtra after IIT Bombay, it’s College of Engineering, Pune and then there’s VNIT Nagpur, VJTI Mumbai etc. COEP is an autonomous engineering institute affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University. Established in 1854, it is one of the oldest engineering colleges in Asia
Thanku.
Hii..
