A candidate should have more that 75% in 12th or in top 20 percentile is the criteria for admissions into nits, iiits, gftis etc but you can give your JEE mains and there are some institutes who do not have such criteria for admissions.

see there is no individual semester marks criteria is not mentioned in any of psus notification past years. for 2020 recruitment many of the psus recruitment is yet to come. so dont worry, most of the psus needs aggregate of 60% marks in b.tech.

there is no reservation criteria in bits , so dont have any category wise cutoff. you need to have 75% marks aggregate 10+2 in pcb or pcm with atleast 60% marks in physics , chemistry, mathematics to become eligible for admission in btech in bits.

dear student if your previous marks more then your improvement mark then which ever is high is counted and if your improvement mark not qualifying passing mark then do not worried about your pass mark because your 1st qualifying mark is counted for evaluation..
