one no..is 5 times another if 8 is substracted from the greater ,the remainder will be 3 times smaller ,then the no..will be ??

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 25th Aug, 2020
Hi aspirant

let us assume that the smaller number is X

, then larger number = 5 *X = 5X

Now,
A/Q we have

5X - 8 = 3X

5X-3X=8

2X=8

X=8/2

X=4

Hence,
Smallernumber=4

and larger number = 5 x 4 = 20

Thankyou

I have cleared jee mains in 83 percentile .Which Govt. NIT college can I read in India ?

Ayush Pandey 4th Oct, 2020

Hello,

With 83 percentile it's quite difficult for you to get admission in any NITs unless you belong to Northeast states where cutoff generally goes low.

Alternatively you have very good chance in your state colleges and thus can participate in state councelling.

I am Rajasthan student I got 630(gen) marks can I get good collage through all India quota,then state quota

S. Saha Student Expert 4th Oct, 2020
630 marks in Neet is an amazing score. So you can apply as you want as you have fair chances of getting government medical college through both all India quota and state quota. Now going by last year's cutoffs of Medical colleges of Rajasthan, you can expect Government Medical College Barmer, Bharatpur, Bhilwara, Churu, Dungarpur, Kota, Pali, JawaharLal Nehru Medical College, Ajmer, Jhalawar Medical College, Jhalawar, SN Medical college, RNT Medical college, RUHS College of Medical Sciences, Sardar Patel medical college etc. Check the cutoffs here http://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-rajasthan

And if we go through the cutoffs of all government medical colleges through All India quota, then you can expect Andhra Medical college, Guwahati Medical college, Nalanda Medical College, Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences Patna, Goa Medical College, GMC Baroda, Surat, Pt. DDU Medical college, Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru Government Medical College, Chamba, RIMS Ranchi, Mysore Medical college and Research Institute, MGM Medical College Indore, Gandhi Medical College Bhopal, Indira Gandhi Govt Medical College Nagpur, Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General Hospital And Medical College, SCB Medical College Cuttack, Stanley Medical college, Osmania Medical college, Maharani Laxmi Bai Medical college, Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences, Calcutta National Medical college, IPGMER Kolkata, NRS Kolkata, RG Kar Medical college and many more. The list is quite long. You can check the cutoffs here http://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cut-off-for-government-colleges

Now you can check and compare the colleges of state quota and All India quota and based on that you can go ahead. However opportunities are more in All India quota as you have a good score. But keep in mind these are based on previous year cutoffs and this year the cutoffs might change. Also you can use Neet College Predictor tool to know where you have good chances of getting admission http://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

Hello,

In order to appear for UPSC, you need to pass Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized University, there's no specific aggregate required in this case, you can apply even in the final year, you need to be 21years old.

UPSC Civil Service Exam consists of three stages-

Preliminary
Mains
Interview

To give you a brief about the exam;

Preliminary consists of 200 Marks for each paper in MCQs format,
you just need to score the required cut offs against your category in first paper, overall its numbers aren't added in the final list.

It mainly consists of GS Paper-I with topics such as History of India and Indian national movement, Indian and World geography, Economic and social development- sustainable development, poverty,inclusion demographics, social sector initiatives etc,Indian polity and governance-constitution,political system,Current Events nationally and Internationally, General Science,General Issues on environmental ecology,biodiversity and climate change. you just need to score the required cut offs against your category.

And then we have qualifying CSAT(you need to score 33%, only 66 marks out of 200) which includes topics such as basic numeracy, comprehension, logical reasoning and analytical ability, general mental ability, decision making and problem solving, interpersonal skills including communication skills.

Coming to Mains it's more of a subjective type, one needs to write answer for Four General Studies Paper such as

GS-I includes Indian Heritage and Culture,History and Geography of the World and Society,
GS-II includes Governance, Constitution, Polity, Social Justice and International Relations,
GS-III includes Technology, Economic Development, Bio-Diversity, Environment, Security and Disaster Management,
