Hi Ive scored 71.83 percentile in my Tancet exam and I want to know which are the colleges I can try to join through counselling in Chennai

Ayush Madanpotra 7th Jul, 2025

With 71.83 percentile in TANCET, you have a good chance to get admission in some well-known colleges in Chennai through counselling.

You can try for colleges like Easwari Engineering College, Sri Sai Ram Engineering College, and M.O.P. Vaishnav College if you are looking for MCA or MBA courses. These colleges usually accept students who score between 70 to 85 percentile.

If you are looking for MBA courses, you may also try colleges like SSN College of Engineering, University of Madras, and College of Engineering, Guindy. But these colleges may have slightly higher cutoffs, so you may have to wait for later rounds.

You should take part in counselling and fill your choices carefully. Based on your percentile and reservation category, you may get a good college in Chennai.

You can check more information about TANCET counselling and cutoffs here:

Improve my English how do it please my help

tanvi bansal 7th Jul, 2025

Hello

Improving English requires consistent practice across listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. To begin with, one should develop a habit of reading English newspapers, books, and online articles to build vocabulary and understand sentence structures. Watching English movies, news channels, or YouTube videos with subtitles helps improve listening and pronunciation. Speaking regularly in English, even with friends or by practicing alone in front of a mirror, boosts fluency and confidence. Writing a daily journal, essays, or short paragraphs on various topics enhances grammar and expression. Learning 5–10 new words each day and using them in daily conversations or writing strengthens vocabulary retention.

Thinking in English rather than translating from one's native language also accelerates learning. Most importantly, staying motivated and practicing English daily, even for a short time, ensures steady and meaningful progress.

Start your journey from today onwards.

All the Best.
