after passing my 12th boards under GEN category I came to realise that I belonged to the OBC category.can I now apply for OBC certificate ?

Yes, you can. The process is not difficult, go to your nearest SDM office and ask for the form of OBC. You have to fill the form and attach it with the required proofs. Your certificate will be sent in 14 days.

mam but in my school leaving certificate it is mentioned as GEN category & this certificate is necessary during state counselling for NEET..Is there any problem

That's not a problem. If you present the OBC certificate, they have to accept it. Many people get it made later. It is always valid.

Dear Aspirant,
If you are from an OBC category, then you can get an OBC certificate. You have to go to the administration department of your city and apply for one.
There you will be instructed to give some documents like identity proof, domicile proof, etc. Walk through the process along with them and you'll be able to get your certificate.
