Are there evening classes and can one admit at the age of 57 for 3 years LL.B course
Dear Arun Bansal ,
Glad to know that the 57-year old person of whom you're talking about is interested in pursuing a three-year LLB programme. Great that you've asked a question on behalf of the person as the answer to this will not only help you but others too who might be searching for solutions to similar doubts.
Now coming to your question. The answer to the first part of your query is there are still some colleges offering LLB programmes in the evening, however, the Bar Council of India, the regulatory body seems not much happy with this mode.
The second part, about pursuing an LLB programme at the 'young' age of 57 is quite wonderful and exciting. Age is just a number. You'll be happy to know that the Supreme Court of India uplifted the age cap imposed on law programmes, nearly two years back. So, the zeal to pursue a three-year programme in law is what the person needs. Forget anything called 'age'. 57 is just a number.
I hope this brings some clarity to the doubts you have. If you think that there is still something with which I can help you out, feel free to ask and I'll be more than happy to clarify them too.
Keep questioning as these are the easiest ways to learn something.
Thank you!
Hello,
Yes, now according to the new rules there is no age limit for the one who needs to pursue LLB but you are not eligible to give some entrance exams like CLAT and all and but in July 2016 Bar Coucil stated that a degree from an evening law college will not be recognized as valid and students cannot enroll themselves as an advocate under BCI.
