Dear Praduman, the criteria that are considered while checking the eligibility of a Candidate are Age limit, Nationality and Educational Qualification.
- Age limit: A candidate should be atleast 20 years and not more than 30 years for applying for IBPS. The relaxation for each category are as follows:
SC,ST: 5 years
OBC-NCL: 3 years
PWD: 10 years
Ex-servicemen: 5 years
Persons originally domiciled in J&K during Jan 1st 1980 to December 31st 1989: 5 years
Persons affected by 1984 Riots: 5 years
2. Nationality: A candidate should be either a citizen of India, Nepal, Bhutan, a Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1962 with an intention to reside in India permanently.
3. Educational Qualification: The Candidates should be Graduates in any discipline. There is no minimum aggregate required. So 12th percentage also doesn't matter for IBPS exam.
