Genetic material of AIDS virus is?
the two singles trends of RNA which is contained within the structure of an HIV virus are transferred by the enzyme known as reverse transcriptase to produce double stranded DNA which infects helper t cells after proper attachment and internalization of the HIV virus nucleya material into susceptible host cells mainly the helper T4 lymphocytes cells containing the CD 4 + marker on them
There is special role of adaptor proteins and inverted is a drug which prevents the entry and fusion of the HIV viral particle on to the t helper cell
it is worthy to note that the major problem associated with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome that is the terminal stage of HIV infection includes multisystem disorders which are mainly opportunistic infections due to low immunity and does a person suffering from chronic fever, diarrhoea and weight loss more than 10% of a body weight could be suffering from superadded infections suggest kaposi sarcoma, oropharyngeal candidiasis, toxoplasmosis encephalitis and herpes simplex virus meningoencephalitis as well as various opportunistic diarrhoeal diseases including isosporiasis and cryptosporidiosis
the drugs which we commonly used in treatment of exposure to HIV virus including needle stick injury at the monthly resume of tenofovir countries vitamin and lamivudine which has gained reputation as with the advent of haart therapy, treatment of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome has become easier and all the lifelong regimen is required ,yet prognosis is much better
Acquired immunity deficiency syndrome is caused due to the infection of human immunodeficiency virus. This virus belongs to retroviral family and contain two single strands of RNA as genetic material.i hope this information helps you.
Thank you
Hello Abhishek..
Thanks for contacting Careers360..
The genetic material of HIV is in the form of RNA. Our genes are made from DNA. In order for the virus to be able to complete it's life cycle, it must convert it's RNA gene into a DNA gene. This is done by a protein that the virus carries with it called Reverse Transcriptase. Mutations occur when Reverse Transcriptase converts the gene from RNA to DNA. This happens in the cytoplasm, before the virus enters the nucleus of the cell.
