Hi swagat
For OBC category 550+ mark would be safer.
If u can score nearly 570+ u can expect seat in top college in india . But the cut off mark varies every year.
Anyways,
All the best fr u r neet exam
Be determined nd
Do well.....
As per your query about score to pass neet.. I would like to tell you it varies every year... It depends on lots of factors like difficulty level of paper and number of students getting that mark etc... It also depends on.. It will be different for Government, Private and Deemed medical colleges.... Also it will differ you applying from All india quota 15% or State quota 85%... Cut off of state quota is usually lower than all india quota...
no one can predict such things. We dont know how a student is studying in some distance of this vast country. But there are always some safer scores which can be predicted.
Overall if you want to know if you are on the safer side or not with 540+ mark so i would like to tell u , u can easily get admission into government medical college through obc quota.
Hope its helps you.

If u score 540 and above you can easily get admission into any government medical college though you are a obc candidate as per my experience 540 is a very good score and appreciable to get admission into any of the government medical college in all over the country but I would recommend you to score not only 540 but to keep an aim higher than it so that you reach till so wat said marks btw its better to score as much as u can possibly get it because you know no history can be the same in future the competition here for the medical seat is cut throat level and so working hard and fighting till the end Is the only way left here because I have seen many of my friends losing seat because of one or two marks and the disappointment caused by such is really hard to accept. So better try to score as much as possible.
Hi Swagat
For OBC category, 27% reservation is there for colleges under NEET. The requirement of marks for entering in a medical college through AIQ depends upon many factors. For any well reputed college, more marks are needed and for others slightly less. Cut-off keeps on changing year to year. All India Rank below 5000 would be a safer one. Talking in terms of marks, a score of 575+ would be a safer score for AIQ seats and 540+ would be safer for state quota seats.
All the Best

Dear Deepak, if you, like Swagat, are asking for the score you should be targeting in NEET 2018 to get a Government Medical College seat in Haryana under State Quota as an OBC candidate, then please find the required information below.
Firstly, please note that in Haryana, there is no precise OBC category, rather admissions are offered under Backward Class - A (BC-A) and Backward Class - B (BC-B) categories. BC-A is considered to be more severely affected and hence the cut off marks are lower when compared to BC-B category. You can check the last rank details of both Classes below, see the one which applies to you, and set your target accordingly.
So coming to the Government medical colleges, there are a total of 4 colleges which male candidates can apply to. I have mentioned the names of the colleges and the last scores for each class as per NEET 2017 in brackets:
- Pt. BD Sharma Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS), Rohtak (BC-A = 559; BC-B = 584)
- SHK Mewati Government Medical College, Nalhar (BC-A = 519, BC-B = 556)
- Kalpana Chawla Government Medical College, Karnal (BC-A = 541, BC-B = 561)
- ESIC Medical College, Faridabad (BC-A = 534, BC-B = 563)
So as you can see above, the last BC - A candidate who secured a seat in a Government Medical College in Haryana under 85% State Quota of NEET 2017 secured a NEET score of 519 and was allotted SHK Mewati Government Medical College. For the last BC – B candidate, the score was 556 and this candidate was also allotted SHK Mewati College.
Please remember that cut off scores are indicative and change from year to year. So keep the scores given above as a minimum target and aim for much higher to maximize your chances for admissions.
Hope this helps. All the best!

Thanks for your reply Swagat. I am providing you the details for Odisha below.
Please note that Odisha does not have reservations for OBC candidates, only for SC, ST, children of Ex-Servicemen and Green Card holders, which is a sub-category under Unreserved. So you will be considered as an Unreserved candidate in NEET 2018. That said, there's good news for you as according to the NEET 2017 Odisha data, a score of 540 was sufficient to secure a Government Medical seat in the state. See more details below. :)
The Government Colleges offering MBBS courses in Odisha are:
1. Maharaja Krishna Chandra Gajapati Medical College (MKCG Medical College), Berhampur
2. Pandit Raghunath Murmu Medical College (Pt. R.M. Med. College), Baripada
3. Sriram Chandra Bhanj Medical College (SCB MC), Cuttack
4. Saheed Laxman Nayak Medical College (SLN Medical College), Koraput
5. Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VSS MC), Burla
As per the seat allotment data of the second counselling round released by the Government of Odisha for NEET 2017, The last Unreserved candidate to secure a Government College MBBS seat in Odisha secured a NEET 2017 Rank of 15,482 which translated to a NEET score of 533. The candidate was allotted a seat in SLN Medical College, Koraput.
Although there is a possibility that a score less than this may have secured Government College admissions in the Spot Counselling round held in the last week of August (data for which is currently unavailable), the data shows that a score of 540 or above in NEET 2018 should surely maximize your chances of securing a Government Medical College seat in Odisha.
Hope this clears your doubt!

Hey Swagat!
While it is impossible to predict cut offs for NEET 2018, you can atleast get an idea of what you should be targeting from the NEET 2017 data. 540 is quite a good score to get in NEET, and would have placed you in the mid-13,000 rank bracket in NEET 2017. Given that more than 10 lakh students appeared for the exam, it is a worthy achievement.
However, if you are aiming for a seat under All India Quota, I would advise you to aim higher in NEET 2018. Because as per the NEET 2017 data, a score of 540 would not have been sufficient to get through a Government Medical College under All India Quota. Infact, the last candidate to secure a seat in a Government Medical College through the All India Quota of NEET 2017 under OBC category secured 562 marks. So aim for atleast a 570+ score just to be sure.
One major positive however is that a score of 540 may be sufficient to get a Government Medical College seat under State Quota, but this ofcourse depends on the state you are from. If you could let me know which state you are eligible for under State Quota of NEET, I will be able to provide you with the last mark details for MBBS candidates in OBC category in NEET 2017. This will help you know what score would be sufficient in NEET 2018.
Looking forward to your reply!
