Hello aspirant,
To get seats in colleges like NITs,IIITs,GFTIs you have to first clear the required cutoff as per your category. Below I have provided 2019 JEE Main cutoff(percentile) category wise -
- CRL : 89.75
- GEN-EWS : 78.21
- OBC-NCL : 74.31
- SC : 54.01
- ST : 44.33
- PwD : 0.11
So if you have cleared the cutoff as per your category then you are JEE Main qualified and hence eligible to get seat in NITs,IIITs,GFTIs. Now exactly what branches you will get that is hard to say. Better attend the JoSAA counselling process and see which colleges and branches are you getting. If you are JEE Main qualified but didn't get a seat through JoSAA, then you can apply for CSAB counselling for admission into NITs,IIITs,GFTIs,SFTIs. CSAB counselling will begin after the completion of JoSAA. You can also apply for other colleges too that accepts JEE Main score for admission. In that case the colleges may not participate in JoSAA so you have to attend the respective counselling of that particular college.
