I have just read a news about neet ...where it is written that pass % for the catergories like oc,sc,st are not important

- Yes its true the introduction of percentile has resulted in lowering of the qualifying marks in neet so that anyone having marks below 360 and below 200 can apply to the management quota in the various deemed universities, they will be granted as eligible and qualified
- last year the percentile marks for OC candidate was 107
- to get a seat in the government medical college you have to score 550 or above
hope that helps...

Irrespective of whatever rules are being framed every now and then, always be clear about where exactly you'd like to see yourself once the exam is done.
If you intend to take admission into some government medical college via the All India 15% quota, you need to score above 570 to ensure a seat in some government medical college.
Via the 85 % state quota, there might be a slight relaxation but not much. Again, a score around 570 will keep you in a safe zone.
If plan on joining a deemed university, try scoring between 450-500 so that you have more options open for yourself. The competition is only getting tougher every year. The more you score, the better.

Yes it's true. Percentile score is what they consider. Since you already know about percentile, I won't explain it.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
However, please note that in OC, try to score around 500 to get a decent seat in your state but if you are looking for a seat in other government colleges all over India through all India quota, try to score around 550 to 600.
