hi ragavi, you still have 5 months time and if you work smart, you can really score well easily, i will tell you how to prepare
Physics and chemistry- physics is considered one of the toughest subject for medical aspirants, but very interesting. choose any good book of your convinience, there are plenty of good books as many mentioned already. read the concepts thoroughly, understand them cover to cover, if you have doubts, clear them then and there. solve atleast 300 to 500 questions per chapter, check ,analyse and rectify your mistakes. solve again. the more you solve the merrier.initially you wont be getting many correct answers, but as you keep on doing am sure you will see your score rising. solve previous question papers too
Biology- in neet around 300 marks are from ncert text book itself, thats how it was when i gave my exam, so u need to thorough ncert first and then read any good book of your choice and solve as many questions as you can, always stay calm , cool and confident, hope this helps good luck buddy
Some strategies that you should inherit to boost your performance
1. Make you own time table ,other than that of coaching - Shorter and achievable small targets
2. Focus on limited books - NCERT + Some reference
3. Solve MCQS daily in a time limit - Understand where you are doing most mistakes, Correct it, retry
4. Understand all options of previous year MCQS ...As EXACT question is not repeated BUT related questions are....
5.Give mock test in between to assess yourself.
6. Have patience and be positive
6. POSITIVE SURROUDING - Discuss with friends who can help you stay positive not the one who brings negativity
7.Revise as many times as possible.
8.Correct your mistakes
9.Maintain your health
Don't think about the result. Be cool and devise a strategy for solving the paper, like which subject to attend first, what time is to be given for each subject, rough work to be done with pencil, leaving doubted questions initially, etc.
Above points will definitely help you

Hi Ragavisivasanmugam,
Yes, you can very easily prepare for NEET and can achieve a very good rank if you follow the following
Here are the way how you can start studying smartly for NEET
- Introspect yourself :- make a checklist that what you know already and what you have to know for the NEET. Go through the syllabus once and check your level, that from where you have to start.
- Plan the Journey :- After Introspecting, Start from the very basic and plan out the journey for the whole syllabus a set some deadline for yourself so that you can progress in a pre defined manner.
- Never Give Up :- It is the golden rule to achieve the goal. Build up yourself and your confidence not to give up even in the hardest situation. THink positive, talk to positive people, ask queries, make mistakes and learn from all these things. Stand by your decision and motivate yourself time to time.
Here are Some GOLDEN tips for the preparation of NEET
- Firstly, gather all the details about the officially prescribed syllabus for the examination.
- Make a proper time-table for your preparations.
- Follow the time table strictly and increase your potential day by day.
- Consider the good preparation books and study materials.
- Practice mock test & previous year question papers.
- Make mistakes while practising, and correct them and never repeat them.
- Never give up even at your low time.
- Stay stress free & healthy while preparing for exams.
- Don’t try to include new topics at the end of preparations.
All the best
Since you are taking care of and it is expected that u'd preparing quite well I would advise you either to join some Institute on a regular basis for the classes in Aakash aur Alan or their crash course if possible
Vicky however will depend on you making notes and keeping yourself up to date with the important chapters of physics chemistry and Biology
Can refer to books like HC Verma, SL Arora for physics, op Agarwal and op Tandon for chemistry and Veer Bala Rastogi and Truman for biology
The chapters you need to concentrate more on physics current electricity, electromagnetism, modern physics, mechanics and Optics, for Chemistry your mean stress should be on general organic chemistry chemical bonding and coordinate chemistry and also on the ionic balancing chapter of inorganic chemistry
For Biology the major questions are usually based on zoology, botany, microbiology and Biotechnology and you need to be well versed with them
Most importantly you need to be appearing for mock insecure examinations where you have to face a variety of questions across all chapters from the three subjects with unlimited period of time and you can access your strengths and weaknesses and worked upon them, it will also help you with your time management and questions elections kill so that you can minimise your negative marking by leaving Behind Those questions with which you are not sure and attending the maximum number of questions in the proper order which is suitable for you
Hope this helps, thank you
Since you might have joined a coaching institution to aid your preparation, your mentors might be guiding you already.
The key is to work on brushing up your concepts. It comes out of practice.
Physics and Chemistry is all about practice. The more number of questions you're exposed to, the better are your chances of performing well in the final examination.
Biology is all about in depth reading of NCERT textbooks and along with that, you need to go through the questions that have been asked in the previous years so that you can modulate your preparation accordingly.
Never stay in doubt, your prime reason for joining a coaching institution was to attain a grip on your concepts and that is precisely what you should be doing.
Seek help from your mentors and let them guide you through the process. If you are receiving any sort of study materials from your coaching institution, then follow that first and after that you can consider following any other books if you have time.
Most importantly, maintain your health. Have a proper schedule for studies. Have faith in your efforts and accept the fact that whatever efforts you've been putting in all this while will fetch you what you've been seeking.
Namaskar Ragavisivashanmugam. Thank you for asking the question. We at Career 360 will help you to solve queries as possible.
First of all, relax. I am pretty confident that you will get into Medical school. And how do I know that? You have to follow a regimen.
Facts- The most essential component for NEET.
Concepts- Start building it in depth from Day 1.
Schedule- 2 hour study and 30 minutes break.
Solve books, question papers, test series and all that you can devour!
You should know the NCERT textbooks like the back of your own hand.
Enjoy your life.
I suggest these books for your studies:
1. Physics: HC Verma for theory and Universal Solutions for MCQs
2. Chemistry: NCERT textbook for theory and Arihant Publications for MCQs
3. Biology: Trueman Publications and NCERT book for theory and Universal Publications for MCQs.
This will help your conceptual base become clear and as well as your practice in solving MCQs. These are a supplement to your regular curriculum books. Live Long and Prosper. Nitish Nadkarni.
Study the concepts in depth, don't read superficially.
Try to clock 100 hours a week.
Maintain your health
Sleep is crucial, else you'll get exhausted before time.
Form a study group, discuss with friends
Stay motivated.
No pain no gain, you won't get this opportunity again. Make the most of it.
Donot waste time, invest time.
Revisions are the most important
It is said that hand written notes are well remembered than printed material, make your own notes, keep reading it again and again.
The best books you can refer to are the NCERT,
For biology, refer the following.
1) Trueman's Biology vol 1 and vol 2
2) Dinesh- Objective biology
3) Pradeep publication Biology
4) GRB'S Publication Biology.
For Physics refer to he following books.
1) H.C.Verma - Concepts of Physics.
2) D.C Pandey - Objective Physics.
3) Fundamentals of physics by Walker
4) Problems in Physics by I.E.Irodov
For chemistry you can refer the following books
1) O.P Tandon - Physical Chemistry
2) Morrison and Boyd - Organic Chemistry
3) Modern ABC's of chemistry
4) J.D.Lee Inorganic chemistry
5) Dinesh
Ncerts are mandatory to have, refer the rest of the books and find out which one suits you. I would advice you not to buy all the books but to refer them and see which one is better for you.
In the end it doesn't depend upon which book is better but how good can you understand the concepts
Also, for the general knowledge subscribe magazines, they will be useful.
Hope this helps.
Goodluck!
U have time only for revision .
Start from biology complete the ncert first and then practice questions as many as u can .
Practicing at this stage is a must . Otherwise u will go blank in exam .
For chemistry study ncert and practice and for physics just revise basic concepts and give most of ur time to practicing questions.
