If I do IT will I be at a loss as it is said the CSE is preferred everywhere?
Hi Gayitri,
There is not really a huge difference between IT and CSE. Both CSE and IT are the good option and have a great scope. In IT branch, you will be taught more about the systems and their functioning. You will be taught about the basic applications of a technology which will make you expert at a surface level of tech and impart more of industrial skills building more of your professional side.
If we talk about the CSE (Computer Science and Engineering), it is both researched and professional based. Here you will be given detailed knowledge of both hardware and software system.
In short, CSE will give you in-depth knowledge of both hardware and software working and its principles, whereas IT, with a similar coursework as CSE, would not impart such in-depth knowledge. So I would suggest you, choose the branch according to your interest area and what you are looking for. If you are interested in hardware and want to become an expert in computer, you can opt CSE. If you are a tech-savvy person, love to experiment with technology and want to pursue more than the professional course you can opt for IT.
Good Luck!
