our nit seats depend on our state of eligibility
In any of the NIT 50% seats are reserved for the home state quota that means if you give your board examination from the state in which NIT is situated so you will have home state quota while taking admission in this NIT which gives you more priority than other.

Every state has its own reservation criteria for local and non-local candidates for admission in their respective colleges.For NITs 50% seats are reserved for Other state candidates including union territories and rest 50% seats are for home state candidates.So the candidates who hold domicile of their state can claim 50% home state quota seats for admission in NIT in their state.
