it has the necessary facilities, infrastructure, and equipment. it has 6 hostels with wifi connectivity and other required amenities like indoor sports, television, laundry, water purifiers. it also has a central library with a collection of115452 volumes.
I'm studying bachelor in technology in electrical engineering in pec. the quality of teaching is just fine. labs are well equipped and the curriculum is updated every year which includes all the recent development in the fiels
the placement rate in pec is quite high, be it circuital or non-circuital branches. the top recruiters include Microsoft, RBS, Goldman Sachs, NXP, JP Morgan, and many more. to enhance the process, summer internships and placement drives are also conducted.
Fully equipped with labs and required equipment for all majors. Technical support available and labs are easily accessible. On campus wifi availability evrywhere. Well maintained hostels and fully furnished library. Food served everywhere is hygienic and good
Aerospace Engineering. Quality of teaching is good with high attention from faculty. Curriculum recently updated to keep the students in par with the advancements in tech. Aerospace is a research related study and with the updated syllabus and amazing labs, it prepares students for the industry.
Haven't been placed yet so can't say. But companies like JP Morgan, Apple, and Microsoft have been at campus for placements and every year the count increases. The college prepares the students with a programme called pre-placement training.
Approximately 1.5 lacs per year. The fees is worth the money.
Campus Life is amazing. Fests and events make it even more fun and hostels and pec markets are the go to spots for everyone.
Most facilities are there for computer science branch. We have library where we can find all the books related to the subjects. The infrastructure is a little old and some more facilities could be there. The hostels and mess are not used by me so can't give a review on that.
The benefit of coming to a college like PEC or any college is the opportunities that it gives you and nothing else. The teachers are not particularly good at teaching but they do have excellent knowledge of their field. In the end we all have to learn everything ourselves.
I have not been placed yet but I have heard very nice reviews from my seniors about the placements in this college. This college has 100 percent placement and the offers are also good. Our placement team works very hard to get good offers for us.
The institute building is about 100 years old. It has many facilities like gymnasium hall, swimming pool, etc..Classroom’s seating capacity is sufficient enough to adjust all the students comfortably. Hostels are provided with WiFi.
Quality of the teaching is good. Teachers are really experienced and are helpful as they provide notes required for the preparation of the exams by which student only studies what is requires instead of wasting time learning other things not relevant for the exam.
Placements are good specially for the circuital students as compared to the non circuital students. Reputed companies like Soben, Goldsmith hire from campus. Placement opportunities for civil students are limited
The annual fees is approximately 160K for BCom
The campus life is really fun reason being a lot of events are held at the campus like the PECFEST. There are many sports facilities like cricket, basketball, badminton court, lawn tennis, etc..
The college has a great infrastructure with the campus spread over an area of 150 acres. There are different labs for different streams which are well equipped with all the necessary instruments. Also there is a separate academic block for each department.
The academic structure of the college is quite great. The curriculum is updated almost every year to make the students aware about the recent trends and developments in the field of engineering. The professors are well experienced and almost whole of the faculty has a doctorate degree.
The college has a well established placement cell which is quite active . Various companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Goldman Sachs visit the campus every year. The highest package offered was 42 lacs per annum last year which was grabbed by a student from computer science and engineering department.
The college has all the facilities a student imagines during the preparation time of JEE , seniors show a great support and arr always ready to help and the best part is the clubs and societies where you get all the fun and knowledge which helps in the overall development, overall a pretty good college
I am in the computer science branch and PEC is a reputed college when it comes to this branch, overall thr teaching is pretty decent same as you can expect from any college ? but yeah the atmosphere around helps in remaining motivated towards the goal
Most the students of the IT stream gets placed in companies and get decent packages, placements generally depends on the person itself like even a civil engineering student can bag an offer from top notch company all it requires the hardwork
The annual fee is around 1.5lakh and PEC being a GFTI I feel like the fee is bit high but I think it is worth the money afterall. The campus buildings and infra is little old but still looks good and the college itself is located in the city beautiful ?what else one wants.
Yes the college has all the necessary infrastructure and other amenities. Department labs are well equipped. The gymnasium and other sport fields are properly maintained and used well. Living spaces and food available is hygienic.
I'm studying Btech in electronics and communication engineering field as I have a keen interest in the core of electronics. The teachers are really helpful and highly knowledgeable. The curriculum is updated from time to time to include recent technologies and proper guidance in terms of job opportunities and making students job ready are given.
The quality of placements at my college has been good. Most of the students get internships and jobs. The college is very supportive from the placement point of view. The average salary ranges from 8-10lpa for ECE.
The college has great infrastructure with the campus being spread over an area of more than 150 acres. Different departments have their own blocks and a new academic block has also been built. There are different labs also for various purposes.
The quality of teaching is great with all the professors being highly qualified and having a great experience of teaching. The curriculum is also updated regularly and is meant to prepare students to be ready to work in any kind of work environment.
The placements of the college are really great. Companies like Amazon, Microsoft and Goldman Sachs visit the campus. The highest package last year was 42 LPA and was offered to a student of Computer Science Engineering Department.
Yeah college's infrastructure is very well developed. There are 4boys hostel and 2 girls hostel with 2-3 more hostel in the pipeline. Each hostel has its individual mess with a capacity of about 600 students.
I am studying electrical engineering . The reason for chosing this stream was i always had an special interest in electroni items. I wanted to be in electronics but i was unable to clear the cutoff for that branch so i ended up in electrical
The highest pacakage from our college till now is 44 lakh with an average package of about 7-8 lakhs for the electrical branch. The overall average package is about 10-11lakhs due to high placement in cse branch.
I pay about 1.5 lakhs for each sem. I hope it will be worth paying this much money.not only this there is also a paid internship provided by the college itself in the 6 sem. The internship is for 6 months
We had areally good campus life till now. I have made some really good friends. There are always many oppotunities to interact with the teachers and mingle with them. Not only teachers but seniors are also very friendly
The infrastructure of PEC Chandigarh is decent. There is a new academic block, several new labs, new air-conditioned classrooms and new offices. Unlimited Wi-Fi facility is available all over the campus. The renovated and modernized library is available. A cluster of 100 computers has been installed in the computer centre for students. The infrastructure of the hostel is not up to the mark, but is renovated. All sports facilities are available in PEC like swimming pool, lawn tennis court etc.
I am currently pursuing electrical engineering. Faculty members are very good and helpful. Many of them are teaching in PEC for a long time. They have in-depth knowledge about their subject and are highly qualified. Almost all of them have M.Tech or PhD degree from reputed colleges of India such as IITs, NITs, PEC etc. The course curriculum is well designed and almost the same as that of IITs. It is designed keeping in mind today's need of industries.
Placements in PEC Chandigarh are excellent. More than 90% of the students get placed every year. Salary packages offered are good. Last year, the highest salary package offered is 42 LPA by Microsoft. The average salary package offered for 2017 batch is 9.12 LPA. Major recruiters include Microsoft, Amazon, Samsung, Arcesium, Jp Morgan, Texas, Maruti, Honda etc. For mechanical and production departments, a large number of automobile companies visit the campus. Administration is very supportive.
I think PEC is the place where you get a lot of opportunities at optimal cost. It cost you around 1.5 lacs per year. You get supportive and excellent faculty. You get opportunities to excel in any field you want. After four years, you get a decent placement if you want or can go for higher studies in renowned universities.
Campus life is just awesome. The campus crowd is good. There are a lot of extracurricular activities in PEC. Many societies like ASCE, IEEE, Robotics, ACM CSS, ASME, and various clubs such as music club, dramatics club, etc., engage the students in extracurricular activities after 5 in the evening. NSS and NCC are also available. PEC Chandigarh is well connected to major cities through rail, road and air transport. PGI Chandigarh is very near to PEC. Professors and staff are very supportive.
PECfest is one of the biggest fests in North India, and it attracts a huge crowd. It is a techno-cultural fest of PEC, and those 3 days of PECfest are the most enjoyable days in college life. Popular celebrities like Farhan Akhtar, Sukhwinder Singh, Amit Trivedi, Guru Randhawa etc., are the artists for star night of PECfest.

-----------) number of available seats,
-----------) performance of different students in the examination,
-----------) the branch you want,
-----------) the category you belong
