67% of seats are filled directly through an online application on the Ahmedabad University Admissions portal, based on Joint Entrance Examination JEE (Main) results or any state level Engineering Entrance Exam held in 2025

33% of seats are allocated through the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC), a committee set up by the Government of Gujarat.

The application form is to be filled online, on the Ahmedabad University Admissions Portal.

Admissions of UG is done as per the guidelines of Gujarat State Admission Committee for the Professional Courses. 

Students who complete Class XII or its equivalent examination by June are eligible to apply.

JEE (Main) is compulsorily required

Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics compulsory

English as a 1st /  2nd Language

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.
