The candidates are selected through an entrance test to be conducted through online proctored test.

In online proctored mode, the candidate will be remotely administered the test at any location of his/her choice. While proctoring online, the candidates will be monitored by a software assisted mechanism. This is a browser based test through a URL facilitated by a strict authentication process. The candidates will be assigned a fixed time slot on the day of the test. The entire test will be constantly monitored for any suspicious activity using advanced video and audio analytics. While the candidate takes the test, a qualified proctor monitors the candidates, the audio-video, and screen and shares feeds in real time throughout the duration of the test. System requirements for online proctored test would be a working computer system (Desktop or Laptop) with webcam and mic. A stable internet connection with minimum upload speed of => 512 kbps and updated web browsers chrome or firefox.

Entrance Test

The test will evaluate the candidates on their mathematical aptitude, logical reasoning, basic programming, English Comprehension.

The candidate needs to solve 60 questions for the time duration of 90 minutes.
All questions will carry equal weightage. The correct answers for each question will be awarded 4 marks; each incorrect answer will be assigned a negative mark of -1. There will be no section wise cutoffs.

Candidates who have appeared for the final year of the qualifying examination may also apply and appear in the Entrance Test. However, their admission will be confirmed only on the production of the original marks sheet of the qualifying examination and fulfillment of eligibility requirement, at the time of On the Spot Admission.

A Bachelor’s degree holder from a recognized University in any stream with an aggregate of 60% marks, or its equivalent as per the norms set by the degree granting institute/university, in the qualifying degree examination is eligible to apply. Candidates appearing in their final Degree examination and expecting to complete it by July 2023 may also apply. However, their final admission will be subject to the condition that they obtain an aggregate of 60% marks, or its equivalent as per the norms set by the degree granting institute/university. All admitted candidates have to submit their degree certificates or proof of completion of Degree, before 30th October 2023 failing which their admission is liable to cancellation.

The decision of the concerned authorities of DA-IICT regarding eligibility of any candidate shall be final.

Age: There is no age limit applicable to this program.

The eligibility criteria for admission to PG degree program: B. Sc. or an equivalent degree (10+2+3 pattern of education) in the relevant subject from a University recognized by The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. The minimum marks/ grade points in qualifying examination shall be as follows:

i. For general category candidates

a. 50% or equivalent grade points (considering all the three years) for candidates who have passed qualifying examination from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda or from Universities of Gujarat or from other states any other state of India. 

ii. For SC/ST candidates Must have passed the qualifying examination. These candidates will have to produce caste certificate from the competent authority of Gujarat.

iii. For SEBC candidates This is applicable to candidates from Gujarat only. There will be a relaxation of 5% in the minimum percentage requirement in qualifying examination. These candidates will have to produce caste certificate and non-creamy layer certificate from competent authority.

iv. For Physically handicapped candidates Eligibility criteria stated in (i) shall be relaxed as per University rules on the production of necessary certificates from a recognized authority.

v. For Sports Persons, Eligibility criteria stated in (i) shall be relaxed as per University rules on the production of necessary certificates from a recognized authority.
