The admission to B.Tech. program of IIIT Kalyani is done through all India examination JEE Main and the seat allocation is done centrally as per JoSAA norms.

Admissions to the four-year B.Tech. Program Electronics and Communication Engineering of the Institute is based on merit assessed through transparent and reasonable criteria followed by Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) and Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) which have been set up by the Ministry of Education [erstwhile Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD)] to manage and regulate admission process of the Institute. Admission into all the four-year B.Tech. Programs offered by the Institutes is processed through JoSAA 2023(https://josaa.nic.in/) and CSAB 2023(https://csab.nic.in/) by their respective online portals. The candidates are advised to carefully go through the Business Rules and Process Flow of the JoSAA 2023 and CSAB-Special rounds available on their respective websites.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12thclass examination or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class / Qualifying examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST candidates the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class / qualifying examination.
