Admission to all categories of students is granted on the basis of admission test followed by
interview to be held usually during the month of December and May - July every year.

Admission to the B.Tech programmes of IIIT Bhagalpur is conducted through the counselling processes of JoSAA 2026 (https://josaa.nic.in/), CSAB 2026 (https://csab.nic.in/), and DASA 2026, as applicable. • For admission to the Ph.D. Programme in Engineering departments, a candidate must satisfy
  one of the following criteria:
• Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology in a relevant area with a minimum CGPA of
  6.5 or 60% of marks.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology or Master's degree in Science in a relevant
  area with a minimum CGPA of 7.5 or 70 % of marks. The candidate should be GATE/NET
  qualified.

Must have passed class XII (or equivalent) Board examination with a minimum of five subjects and secured at least 75% aggregate marks. The aggregate marks for SC, ST and PwD candidates should be at least 65%.
