Admission to all categories of students is granted on the basis of admission test followed by
interview to be held usually during the month of December and May - July every year.

Admissions to the four-year B.Tech. Program in Computer Science and Engineering, of the Institute is based on merit assessed through transparent and reasonable criteria followed by Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) and Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) which have been set up by the Ministry of Education [erstwhile Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD)] to manage and regulate admission process of the Institute. Admission into all the four-year B.Tech. Programs offered by the Institutes is processed through JoSAA 2023(https://josaa.nic.in/) and CSAB 2023(https://csab.nic.in/) by their respective online portals. The candidates are advised to carefully go through the Business Rules and Process Flow of the JoSAA 2023 and CSAB-Special rounds available on their respective websites.

• For admission to the Ph.D. Programme in Engineering departments, a candidate must satisfy
  one of the following criteria:
• Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology in a relevant area with a minimum CGPA of
  6.5 or 60% of marks.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology or Master's degree in Science in a relevant
  area with a minimum CGPA of 7.5 or 70 % of marks. The candidate should be GATE/NET
  qualified.

The candidate should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class / Qualifying examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST candidates the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class / qualifying examination.
