Admission is based on joint entrance examination (JEE Main). Notification of JEE Main is announced in dailies across India during September – December and is conducted in the month of May every year in various centers across India.

The mode of admission is based on the JEE (Main) and Plus-2 Normalized Score. The seat allotment to the B.Tech programs is based on All India Rank published by CBSE. Admission is based only on All India Rank (AIR). State Rank is not Considered for admission into IIITs.
The admission to Foreign Nationals / Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) / Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) is through Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA).

Eligibility Criteria

Must have passed class XII (or equivalent) Board examination with a minimum of five subjects and secured at least 75% aggregate marks. The aggregate marks for SC, ST and PwD candidates should be at least 65%.
